Leslie... there is a ton of answers to the belly fat question on this board. Mutt answered in the other post.
Fit buddy is located at the bottom of the page. Fill in some details there and you'll get a whack of answers to what you are looking for. t -------------- I am training for birthdays. Be here. Live. Love. Hope. Now. Faith. Believe. You. - Keith Urban |

instead of complaining about how you get answers...why not think about why that is? and then perhaps explore the site a lot better....like using the search feature with your question....

You know, I take issue with folks who get on here looking for some "quick fix" or voodoo bull that will magically make them lose fat in some area in 2 weeeks or something. Then they get upset when noone has those answers. Newsflash, NOONE has those answers, they do not exist. Belly fat or any fat is reduced in one way, and one way only...by reduced calorie consumption and or increased energy expenditure. You or noone else is special and has that special metabolism or something that will allow the impossible to happen.-------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

Great posts....my issue is with the folks who get on here and want some magic that will let them undo years of unhealthy eating, etc. to put on fat, then want to lose the fat magically in 2 weeks or something so they can look like a model when they go to some pool party or something. The topper is when they have the nerve to get mad because we don't reply or don't give them the magic they are looking for. Hell, it it was that easy, we would all be walking around with 6 packs whenever we wanted to.-------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

ANd the supplements to lose fat quick....man, don't even get me started...walk in any GNC, stand around for 15 minutes and see what folks buy. The latest advertised hyped product, like Zantrex 3, or Hydroxycuts. Come back in one month, stand around again. The same folks looking exactly the same will be back in there by something else because the first one didn't work. The supplement companies are making a fortune, and here we are trying to really help folks for nothing!-------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

my my my....you boys are becoming more cynnical as the years pass.... lol
I sometimes empathize with the newbies....I do a lot of training for assistants at work and I have to go through the exact same thing every single time with every new kid....because they honestly don't know....So many of my coworkers bad mouth these kids behind their backs because they are clueless but...you know what if more people had the patience they would learn more, quickly and stop asking stupid questions....that is why I was assigned (well volunteered for) the task of training the new kids.... I know you guys are a wealth of knowlege....I have appreciated the advice through the years...but we still have to remember there are new people everyday being told by the hundreds of ads out there that you can achieve greatness in 7 days....they just might not know better....because no one has taken the time to help them.... I know the answers are in past forums but if you are truly new you may not know that if you go searching you may find your answer...So you ask the same question that someone else just asked...Don't be rude just guide them in the right direction. I love this site and have from day one...I just don't want to see new people trying to better themselves scared away because they are made to feel like complete idiots.... Anyways thanks for listening! PAT |

I have as much compassion for the same questions over and over from folks I realize are new. Anyone who has read my posts have seen me post over and over basically the same thing to newbies getting on here looking for help. Real help, not sme quick voodoo that will make them have a six pack in a week or god forbigt, 2 weeks. The folks I take issue with are the ones that ask for some quick magic fix, and then don't get it, and subsequently turn around and make posts like we don't help them, slamming the board, and are hiding our secrets for the "good old boys" or some similar nonsense. I have been in this field for quite a long time, and know well that each client has to be assessed differently, but some basic groundrules have to in play. Like common sense. Human physiology is no different for them than us, so don't get on and make posts that slam us. -------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

I am currently working on my ab, and it's showing improvements. Cardio, leg raises and crunches will get you there. Besides the folks that've been there from day 1, there are new members like me and would be happy to share and discuss with you on the experience. We know how to search in old threads but it is more helpful to discuss with people who are going through the same process, so don't bash if you see repetitive questions, new members would enjoy discussing them. |

I sometimes get real discourage at how long it's taking me, it's been a year now and I just barely got into the teen in fat%.
I once responded to Xenadrine EFX as the best fat burner hyped on it for 2 weeks but was wrong. I couldn't do sprint HITT without thinking I was going to have a heart attack, it just felt wrong and unnatural so I took bb1fit's advice on Green Tea Extract and Apple Cider Vinegar and haven't looked back, I am able to live normal and train normal with no side effects, Thanks Bro! Anyway my point is it didn't happen for me overnight, it's taken me a year to burn off 57 pounds with diet and hard work and a tad bit time off from injury (Sciatica). Ideally I'm now only about 6 pound away from my Ideal weight. I'm so motivated only injury could slow me down but the point is I work and have worked hard at this REAL HARD and learned a new way of healthy eating. It take time and for most people A LOT OF TIME. I was always told nothing good comes fast and easy and easy come easy go (Been there done that too) but I have been told and learned something that comes from true hard work and effort is most appreciated and I'll be damned if I'm just guna piss away all the work I put into myself especially after giving myself Sciatica over it! The best part about how long it takes is WHAT YOU LEARN in that time and what gets embedded into you, it's knowledge that you'll have for life. |

These are the types of things that should be suggested.I was a xenadrine addict for many a year!!!I had tons of energy to get my workouts done and get through my job...but I was a zombie otherwise.I was taking about 6 pills a day...I was a server and I would stand at my tables with my hands shaking so bad my customers thought something was wrong with me...I told them it was just to much coffee.Any way I kicked the habbit and started to gain back the wait instantly.I've started with green tea and a grape fruit before every meal in the last few months ...what a difference!!!I still have the extra boost for my workout, but I don't feel like my heart is going to explode either. Before I started the xenadrine mess I had a resting heart rate of just over 60...after years of xenadrine it was over 80...Now it is at just over 70...and I have kicked the habbit for over 3 years. My point is natural is so much better...and should be suggested to new people who are considering these others.

Great post SFGiantsMVP!! There is no easy way to lose fat. It takes discipline, hard work, patience and staying the course.

I am glad to hear the green tea, acv, and grapefruit is working. It is inexpensive stack, you know what you are taking, and has nutritional value to boot. And in the end, it will do a better job than any of the overhyped overmarketed overpriced supplemental stuff sold.-------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

I love Grapefruit 1st meal with aspartame sprinkled on it as a side dish to my morning Oat's.
Meal 1 is 4 to 8 oz of Grapefruit, Oatmeal with either blueberries, peaches or cinamon and Protien, usually whey but never mixed into Oatmeal if eaten hot. Oh and 4 Fish Oil's. Something about waking up to Oats and fruit I just love and you can get away with the carbs so much better this way too! |

Can't say oats are my favorite either, but I do eat the little packets of quaker oats regular (no flavour) typically mid morning and mid afternoon as part of my small regular meal. I just put hot water in a styrofoam cup and add the packet. I just like the convenience of it and think it more as fuel than something I eat to enjoy. Kind of sad when you think of it, but better than downing a donut! I also think of it as one of those foods I should be eating because it's so good for you. I don't eat a lot of bread products so it gives me my fibre and "good" carbs.

I had to eat it this morning(my carb loading day from bb1's diets nade easy)and I must say I haven't felt hungry at all....it's just so bland...and to hear people raving about it makes me wonder what I'm missing.I'll try adding a touch of honey...I think that's what I miss...the sweetness I'm so used too. What about brown sugar and 1% milk...would this be as bad as regular sugar and milk?
