Thanks muttersnapper. Please hang around here more. Between Veda and Linda kicking everybody's butt and Ivan and Amy sniping at each other, it's really been weird. The amazon woman and howdie have collapsed in a puddle of fear. Now everybody go have pizza and doughnuts and let's get the second 1/3 of this show on the road. I will win.

I think I saw the amazon lady pirched on a bird bath, geeeez, after all, asimmer dropped a plate on her.
The bf% is now at 25.
Charlie...How you doing? I have missed the occasions to snipe at you, but did take a couple of your shots and ducked!

Just peachy Ivan. From 52% to 25% in 3 weeks???? Who's moderating the moderators? It wasn't a plate. I think simmer was throwin' a frisbee for the amazon woman to chase.

Sniping? i am not that sublte - I run right into the fracas, whooping and yelling. Subtle isn't in my genetic make-up.

I still have July to win this thing...

i have to work on the 4th, so i won't be having your problem, david. and thankfully, sunday is one of my off days for lifting, so i don't have to worry about that either. so while the rest of the americans are off at their barbecues eating the best the U.S. has to offer in junk food, i'll be slaving away in the newsroom, not watching fireworks for yet another year. i'm not bitter though, really, they're paying me double.

that's kinda cool, I guess. I can't work at my job b/c I'm a part-timer. Having all the holidays off doesn't suck though, but I don't get paid crap.

I work for GM, and we have a two week shutdown.. I'm off from the 4th to the 18th. I have these visions of getting up every day and going to the gym at 8 instead of to work, and of getting in a couple 10-15 mile walks (prepping for a 60 mile walk in Aug) instead of only having an hour or two to squeeze in 4-6 miles.

Now if I can only make those visions a reality....

I used to work for a semiconductor company in Roseville, and Sony in San Diego, I remember those dreaded paid-time off killers, aka, shutdowns. Those sucked. At least you can get a good workout while you are on vaca. I wasn't working out at the time I worked at those places, otherwise I would have probably done the same. Good luck!

Welcome to the challenge, Donna! Good for you! You have been doing so well, your gonna kick some rear here!

Oh, and David_s81, grab some charcoal bags and lift them over your head 20 times, fill some bags with sand (if your at the beach, of course) and do some lifting, run around with icebags for five minutes as a warm up and cool down, you should be good to go! *wink*

and on top of all those other tremendous qualities, they melt in your mouth, not in your hand. i'm going to get emotional, i have to stop thinking about the peanut m&ms. soon i'll be yearning for the peanutbutter m&ms as well, and that only spells trouble...if you spell trouble "m&ms."

Oh God, I love the peanutbutter m&m's. I forgot about them melting in your mouth not in your hand. Heaven knows a girl can't say that about everything.

I have to stop this. I'm going to chop veggies for the coming week, that will surely lift my spirits.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!!!! Oh my, the joys of M&M's! I did give it up this past weekend and go to a place in town called "Fuel Pizza." In an old gas station. Had three huge slices. And was it good.

Yep, on Central. That's probably close to your shop. There's also another at the corner of South and East. Man, it was pretty darn good. BBQ chicken and veggie on whole wheat crust.

Donna you still have 4 weeks left and anything is possible. Like you said, just to prove it to yourself that you can do it is worth the challenge. You will do it. Now back to what Charlie said, Veda and myself being neck and neck. Oh oh, guess I'll get up off my rear end and do some resistance training and some more cardio.:big_smile:Just teasing Veda, I wish you all the best. (hee hee) Getting up to go to the walking track. Linda
