id just finished doing my squats, id worked really hard to push out the last couple of reps, so i thought 'ill go down stairs and get a drink'. it was goin cool walking along the landing, then i tokk my first step onto the stair and my leg just had nothing in it to stop my leg from bending at the knee, it was weird and u just fell:(. i have a carpet burn on my knee, but other wise im cool:cool:. i just keep thinking how dumb i must have looked.

Actually i found the opposite holds true, i run up the side of a mountain which has a steep flight of stairs with 144 steps, i usually run these stairs with a weight vest and/or belt.....i found that running these stairs actually helps my squats, in terms of reps and poundage, haha and i walk down carefully because 144 continuous steps is a long way to fall !!!!!!!!!

Oh dear me, Pritchard! What a way to end some good reps! Ouch!

going up after squats is fine for me but going down is killer. Once after being on the stairmaster for a while I could barely move my legs, if I bent at the knee at all I would fall down. :surprised:

I find driving home from the gym after legs day is a nightmare - trying to control the clutch with a wobbly shaky leg is very difficult!

Pritch, I'm disappointed. THAT'S the reason you got carpet burns on your knees! I can think of much better ways.

thanks for the concern every one (!)
i did worse than this when i went bowling under the influence of alchohol. i was using the heaviest balls, because they have the biggest thumb hole, and i have an extraordinarily wide thumb joint. i stood there, swung my arm back, then SMACK! straight into the side of my knee!
yes, thats right, i bowled at my own leg.:(
