hi, Mikey here.
I live just outside St. Louis, MO. I just turned 35 years old in October. I'm 5'11" and currently weigh 222 lbs. My weight loss goal is 175 lbs. I have no medical concerns/issues. I've been utilizing the Daily Nutrition Tracker and keeping my caloric intake to 1500/day or less. I use the Fitness/exercise plan suggested by this website and am doing weight training 3 days per week and cardio 3 days per week. In just over 2 weeks I have already went from 230 lbs. to 222 lbs. ********************************************************** Anyone know what a safe, but AGRESSIVE timeline would be to lose the 50 lbs.? I was thinking 4 months would be a good goal. End of February 2008? |

WOW!! We have so many that post here, I just hope that you all keep coming 'round! FT is a great site and FULL of informative information! I love being here, though I am sporadic due to schedules, but I keep coming and hope to see you all here again! From babies to lazy, we all have reasons that we feel got us to our current state of needing to get into shape, but the fortunate thing is we can ALL succeed in doing so! Hi everyone, a friend told me about this site and I really love all the info. I am 37 years old and live in Alabama. I have already lost 100lbs and want to go for another 20. I weigh 185 now and my fat percentage is at 22.44 as of last Monday. I am now trying to focus more on a loss in the percentage numbers than that of the scale. I haven't been able to load up any pics to this site, apparently they are too big and I can't figure how to scale them down. They can be found on my sparkpeople.com page for bamalane. I don't know if you have to register to see the page, but if you do it is free and painless.
After reading so many of the posting, especially from asimmer and bb1fit, it is time for me start concentrating on the strength training aspect. I am also going to quit weighing every day and try to shoot for every two weeks. I go to have another hydrostat done in 3 months and that will really tell me how I am doing. Very excited about this site and thank you to all for such helpful information. |

Well let's see I am a little late on adding to this but what the heck 335 down to 250. Just want to get down to a size 16 pant that is 10 sizes in pants. This is my overall goal don't have any particular time frame yet still working on that. Soon hopefully I will figure out my time frame.

I'm 6'1", 220 lbs, around 12-16% body fat. My goal is now to lose 10 lbs of fat, and gain 5 of muscle. I've come a long way(300 lbs at my heaviest)but there are miles to go before I sleep!(so to speak!)
For anyone who is new, let me tell you that your diet is the most important piece of the puzzle. Know how many calories you need to be eating, and count them all until you have a grasp on everything. |

I am 5'8" When I started my program 6 weeks ago I was 204 lbs. I have lost 15 lbs and my goal is 165. More importantly my blood pressure has dropped from 143/91 to 113/67 and my resting heart rate has dropped from 97 to 59. I took digital pictures and measurements to track my progress. This helped keep me motivated. I have lost 1 in. off my waist and 3 in. off my stomach.

I currently weigh 220lbs. I used to weigh 156lbs (before i got pregnant). When i had my "little monster" (18months ago), i weighed 256lbs. I have lost 36lbs so far by doing nothing (very high metabolism maybe). Now i am stuck at my current weight.

I am 6'2" tall, 370lbs and hope to lose 170 lbs that is my goal,200lbs sounds so much better.It sounds like a big goal but why start small when truly you want to go all the way.

I'm at 296, and starting working on my New Year's Resolution a week early! I've signed up for an 8 week plan, and will be at the gym by 5:30 tomorrow morning. My goal is 10 pounds per month, with a total losee of 120 pounds by Dec 31, 2008. :)

Hi All,
I have joined today!!! My son is a year old and I have gained a lot of weight. Not that I have realy tried to loose it anyway (honest). But I have decided that as from Monday (cause I am working 16 hour shifts the weekend) I am going to take on the weight issue. We have just bought a home gym so could do everything there. I weigh 150 lbs I am 5"7 1/2, and 16 years old. Im not so bad, but I have a little extra chunk that I would like to get rid of. My goal is to get back down to 130 lbs like I was 7 months ago. I want to get back down by June of this year (2008) because I am going to stay with my uncle in Florida, and I want to be able to wear my 2 piece with pride again!:big_smile:

I am 27,5'0", and 280lbs. My goal is to get from my current size which is 26-28 down to size 10-12. I'm really not sure exactly how many pounds i'd like to lose but I'd like to get down to about 160lbs. Thats well over 100bs so I know I have my work cut out for me I just hope I have the motivation to keep going.

I am currently 5'3" 162lbs and my goal is 145 before PS. I want to encourage all of those for making the first step to change your life. In August I was 213 and have lost 51 lbs in a little over 4 months. Its hard work but if you keep your eye on the prize you will get there. Best of luck to all of you!!!

Hi im deanna i just joined i find this very hard to navigate thru to chart your progress. anyways i started 8 days ago i walk 3 miles a day and work out according to the plan they made for me. Here is my progress on weight so far. i have gone from 235 to 227.8

I am a mother of five, and I have gained some weight over time. My oldest is 7 and youngest is 1.
I am 5'6" and I currently weight 218 pounds. I have started exercising reagularly. During the summer I lost 20 pounds and since put 10 back on. I am trying hard to become healthy. I am not sure what weight I would like to be since I have been many sizes. I guess for now, I would be happy to be 170 pounds.:) |

My weight is 210 lbs. and I am 5 ft. and 1/4 of an inch. :laugh: I am needing to be realistic and lose possibly 40 lbs. by this summer. After that I will keep going till I can get all the weight off. It doesn't seem easy. I live in a house full of skinny people who are very active and criticize regularly.

I am 34 yrs old and I have started working out 1 hr 5x a week. I walk 1 mile on the tredmill and do 150 cruches and ride the bike 1 mile pluse alittle weight lifting. I have also been doing weight wathcers at home ( not going to meetings)I have only lost 5lbs in 3 weeks but I went from wearing size 24-26 to wearing a 20-22. I would really like to see the weight loss on the scales. I feel like if the scales is not showing the lose, then I really haven't lost anything. I weigh 243 now and I would LOVE to get down past 200. Any suggestions. My life is a busy life with 2 teen daughters and working full time and my hubby. I work out on my luch hour ( i come back stinky, but oh well that is the only time I have)
