I started out at 183.5 toward the end of febuary and as of right now i am at 158.0 ibs so i have lost 25.5 pounds already but i need some advice on how to tone up and loose inches because although i have lost 25 pounds its seems hard to go down in sizes my main area of problems would be my stomach of course and my hips and but now i have been doing squats with wieghts and it is helping some. My long term goal is to get to 120ibs but maybe if i loose some more inches i will be happy with that depends.

I can;t believe I'm actually going to do this but here goes:
Current stats: Height - 6' 1 3/4" <--- lol I used to be 6'2" I'm shrinking Weight - eh hem... 375lbs Goals: I'm not sure. The charts say I should weigh 185 - 195 lbs which seems way to little...guess I have been BIG so long I cant get my head wrapped around it. realistically I'm thinking 200 - 220 lean I have a loooong way to go :dumbbell: |

edj193 I was 315lbs when I signed in here but I have been as high as 360lbs. I am now down to 282lbs my gaol is 220lbs as I am big framed. I just started a light program from freetrainer and cut back on what I eat.Every 8 weeks I try a little harder program. It does work as you can see I from my results.Do not worry about the big goal just take a pound at a time.It works if you work it.

HI! im 21 years old, 5 foot 3 and 220 lbs...EEEK!
my short term goal is to lose 30 lbs by christmas long term goal is to get down to 150 lbs or less. AND! 2 weeks ago i threw out the cigarettes, started counting my calories and excersizing on a daily basis... I feel 100 times better already! I have more energy i dont know what to do with myself...my house is CLEAN now! |

Hello all. I am new to the site and would like some support and suggestions, before I had my 4 children in 4 years I weighed 145 lbs and gained 100 lbs with my first child (I have lost all the weight from the other 3). Well I'm new here and looking for all of the constructive support I can get. I'm 25 years old, 5 foot 6 and currently 200 lbs. I'm looking to get back down to my most comfortable level where I was roughly 140lbs. I tend to be an emotional / compulsive eater and I'm trying to break out of that rut at the moment. I just joined a gym for women which I'm looking forward to, and I can't wait to recognize myself in the mirror again!

Well, I'm 5'5" 225, but I look like I only weigh 180. My goal weight it hard to determine because my family is so muscular that we weigh more than we look. I would say my goal weight is at least 150.

When I first joined the site I was at 233lbs. I have not been active and my weight went upto 266. I have now lost 7 lbs in the past month and a half.

Hey all. I'm five 5'7" and weighed in yesterday at 138. A month ago, I weight 147 and my target weight was/is 140lbs. We moved a month ago to an area that is very pedestrian friendly, so I started walking my son in a stroller. I didn't really expect that to do much, but I have also been making an effort to clean up my eating habits. I haven't been able to work out at all, and yet here I am at 138 lbs, 2 lbs under my target weight. I hope I'm not losing muscle mass. My goal is to have a high lean body mass % and a low body fat %. I'm 41, 5'10" and 284lbs. My goal is to get down to 200 but there's more to losing the weight than just pounds.
Current pants - 44 almost 46. Goal 38 Current shirts XXL and my stomach and spare tire make that not look big enough. Goal - XL without the keg around my waist. Blood pressure is controlled by medication and I have a hiatal hernia which makes it difficult to sleep at night, particularly with the extra weight. When I returned to school 3 years ago my diet got worse thanks to working nights, going to college and working at an internship. Now I'm the heaviest I've ever been and feel miserable. My wife and I recently walked in the Susan G Komen Race for the cure and, after seeing the picture of myself during the walk, realized I needed to make a life change. I have the knowledge, but have a hard time with the motivaton and, especially, self-control as I am a compulsive overeater. Wow, that's a lot to put out there, but just trying to be real. |

I usually eat dinner and thats about it. Plus I am not very active. I got my new plan for exercises and it starts on monday. But the thing is how do I start eating more food??? It's actually what you need to do. When you don't eat but once a day, your body goes into starvation mode since it learns that it will not receive anything for another 24 hours. It holds onto whatever you take in and stores it as fat so you have energy stores. By eating frequently, your body begins to burn faster since it recognizes that something is coming in 3-4 hours, thus helping you burn more efficiently.

I am 4'10"
20 years old and 195 lbs I had a baby 15 months ago and in that time and since, I have packed on about (drumroll...) 55lbs! (Not something I'm proud of by any means) I've always had alittle bit of a weight problem, but when I was about 13 I lost 40-45lbs and went froma size 16 to a size 9! You can imagine the excitement and energy. Lately though, I'm just always so depressed and drowning in self-pity. I have been weight training for about a month now and I see an enormous difference in my strength and muscle mass, BUT I don't see the fat melting off yet. it's very discouraging to me. I know it will take time, but I feel like I'm not doing something right. Anyone got a little advice? |
