I was just being curious here; what's the biggest obstacle/hindrance for you while trying to reach your goal?

What can make you fail?

For me when competiting it's actually my height which is the reason to most problems....... (I'm 5'11'' and a lot taller than the "normal" French girls so there is a too big difference between them and I).

Now today what I miss is a work out partner........

For me it's FOOD! I love good food and I love to eat. I like a glass of wine or a couple cocktails too. Those are the things that can make me fail. I want pizza on Friday night. I want Margaritas on Saturday and I want donuts on Sunday. Constantly telling myself 'no to those things is the hardest part for me.

Managing my time!

Trying to achieve balance among my family activities, work, music, a start-up business, sleep, workouts, and evenly spaced meals.

Although, food cravings come in a close second. Betcha wouldn't have ever guessed that.

I have to agree with az, my downfall is food!!! I can forego the Pizza, even though I love it, but I do like having Mexican food and a Margarita or two on Saturday and donuts on Sunday. I do GREAT during the week but the weekends, ggggggrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Food and time. Food especially at weekends or when i'm off. Just want to kick back and chill and sometimes take-aways, fast food just to good to pass up.
Also time. I work irregular shifts so I'm always trying to pencil in times when I can work out etc.

One thing I think everyone who posted should notice about their 'failure' reply - "I, me, my, myself," etc. In other words, there is nothing out there by nature that can make us fail; but it is OUR allowance of such things of failure that makes us fail. As I have posted several times before what my Marine Corp friend said: "Survive, adapt, and overcome!"

In the end, ultimately it is you that will insure failure, and even more importantly, your success!

Thanks rev, I am really working on overcoming!!!! I have not had Mexican in over a month, for me, living in Texas, that is really an accomplishment!!! Don't have Margaritas, unless I have Mexican food.

I just have to always keep focused on my goals. I always allow 1 free day a week to have anything I want guilt free. It is just a matter on reminding yourself on what your goals are and do it one day at a time/one meal at a time. No matter where you are or what you are doing...there are always healthier choices even if it isn't the best it is better to go for as best you can.
Oh yeah I love ice cream...I don't keep it at home cuz I know I will eat it. :)

Mine is self doubt. If there is a day when I'm feeling a little down and stop believing fully in my potential, my training (and self-esteem) suffers. I'm really working hard to focus on the little victories. I think recognizing our weaknesses is the first step to beating them into submission.

Another weakness of mine is that when I KNOW that I'm on a diet, well then suddenly I'm ten times more hungry all the time.......
It's all in the head and I actually get grumpy and tired just from the thought of being on a diet (just like right now!)
That's really annoying...........

I don't know why but Krispy Kremes repulse me. I think it is all the really big big people in polyester cramming them down their gullets at the mall when I am dieting.
I'm sorry, did i mention that dieting makes me a litlle crabby?
I also love margaritas and mexican food, and vietnamese food, and flavor!!!
Play with seasoning, people! There is no reason healthy food can't be as flavorful as all the things you crave 9excdept maybe ice cream).
But you have to keep in mind that this is your life and the occasional cup of ice cream won't hurt, it is just when it is every night. In all things seek moderation and balance. (unless you are dieting for a competition, then you just better suck it up and make a list for the day after the show).
I think a really good, cruchy apple is better than most desserts.
And tarab21 - theres nothing wrong with a good steak! It is muscle food!
