hello everyone:
after 8 weeks of training on the treadmill. I finally competed in a 5K run and finished it in 36 minutes. I thought I was going to run it in 32 min, but I had so mcuh abdominal pain because I was sick that day, I was even shocked I finished it. it is such a great feeling..
10 weeks ago I couldn't jog for 10 minutes on the treadmill, it is amazing how the human body improves and enjoys improving...

awesome job gbaser!!! gosh i miss those days. I can imagine what an awesome feeling that was for you to complete a race, who cares at what speed you ran, you reached the finish line and that is all that matters!! good for you!

thanks so much for your comments. today I figured that from my house to my work it is 3 miles, I think instead of driving I will run to work for once or twice a week and get ready for 10K while I will increase my speed for 5K...
it was such a good feeling to finish the race...and I knew that if i didn't train for 10 weeks I wouldn't be able to finish it. this means that there is change, although I still have not lost all the fat that I wanted to...
thanks again for all your support

Awesome work. Congratulations!!!
You know, feeling sick to your stomach isn't too surprising to hear. Races, even if you're just being competitive with yourself, are stressful. Notice all the people running in and out of the port-a-potties right before the start? Yeah. Hopefully you'll be a little more relaxed next time.
Good luck with running to work - that's a great idea!

Hmmm I just have to tell you this one;
I was terrible excited yesterday (o; so to calm down I went out for a run. Well I manage to do 5.5K in only 29 mins!!!
No I have never ever run that fast before but I was actually quite proud of myself afterwards.......
Oh I can feel it in my legs this morning.......
