OMG...I'm having a horrible time with temptation today. Of course, all the little candies and chocolates are right in my face since I am stuffing them in eggs for a flashlight easter egg hunt tonight.

You would not believe the all out WAR that is going on in my brain right now as I fight the urge to do the "just one won't hurt" and the "you deserve one" thing. So, I am walking around the kitchen chanting "I am NOT hungry..I do NOT need to eat"!

Ugh...

Don't do it! One of my coworkers has her candy jar filled with pretty pastel peanut M&M's. I remember what happened around Valentines day...once I started I couldn't stop and I ended up draining her supply. Then I was at my daughter's the other night...she had the same M&M's in a little dish and I said "No, thanks. I can't." About 15 minutes later the dish was nearly empty (good thing it was a little dish).

I'm not...it just makes me mad that something like a robin egg could hold so much power over me.

Anyway, I just had a chocolate peanut butter EAS carb control protein bar...fits pretty good into our food ratio, even though it's a last choice when compaired to real food.

It's helped with the craving for the sweets alot...I'm going to keep a couple on hand for moments like this in the future.

I'm also one of those "eat one, eat 'em all" but am now on the wagon. I bought a whole bunch clearance chocolates after Xmas (the German and Belgian stuff). Just before New Years, I put them all in plastic bags and shoved them in the back of the freezer. I avoid digging too deep in the freezer and when someone at work brings in a treat, I thank them on behalf of those who will be eating.

I was afraid I would fall off the wagon when I took my family to the states as they wanted to consume Wendy's Frosties and indulge in Friendly's ice cream. I ultimately gave in one my last evening in upstate NY and had a Happy Ending Sundae (2 scoops). It was wonderful but it was also enough.

Knowing how I am, I really can't have sweets around me though I can't say I have been craving them. Right now I satisfy my sweet tooth with a sliced apple with peanut butter. However, I am really going through the PB now.

Think of yourself as a sweetaholic and don't imbibe, I mean indulge!

I think the occasional protein bar is the perfect way to curb a craving for sweets. I had one last week and it was pretty satisfying. But it was the first one in a long time.

Yeah, when I can't shake the craving for candy/chocolate, I cut up a protein bar into m&m size pieces and eat it slowly...

I also chew sugar free gum like it is going out of style:)

I am exhausted but I have a nasty dry hacky cough that is keeping me up, it's the middle of the night and I am eating a handful of funions. We really need a hotline or something for moments like the one I am having....:(

Asimmer mentioned this diet/workout plan to me in another thread, and ive done my research all day, ive programmed everything out, and made a shopping list! I'm ready to start this on Monday! It looks quite intense, but Im ready for the challenge.

How soon did everyone see results? How did you feel? Did you put on or lose weight? Did the lifting routine promote bulk or tone? I would just like to know what to anticipate! Sounds great, and I'm really excited to start this!!

lindsay - check the stats thread - it has how many inches/pounds people have lost every two weeks... some very nice results there.

Toning is a misconception. You will look more defined on this plan as you get leaner and your muscles will be nice and full from the amount of carbs you are allowed.
Most women can't bulk up, and those who mistakenly think they are getting bulky usually have added muscle without losing fat. Muscle is metabolicaly more active and will allow you to burn more calories, all of the time.

So yesterday was my first day on the diet and doing the workout routine. I must say, i do love it. I didnt find it too hard to stick with the diet (but then again, its only the first day!), and I even passed up going for icecream last night when someone suggested it!

Asimmer, I will take your advice and add an apple to my 10am shake. But I found myself hungry around 8pm, even with my hardboiled eggs. What else is good to eat that late, before bed?

============
Quoting from asimmer:

lindsay - I think you could add a little carbs to your 10am shake - maybe some berries or an apple. I also think your breakfast is a little low in carbs.

see how you feel , if you find you are hungry all the time you may ned to up your carbs just a little, but see how it goes for a while first.

my bedtime snack is usually 2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites scrambled, with a tbsp of udo's oil over the top when they are done cooking, salt and pepper.

A lot of people eat lowfat cottage cheese before bed.

You could even have a salad to help fill you up.
