The hydration test is simple. All you have to do is look in the toilet after urination. The clearer the color, the more hydrated you are. If it is a dark yellow or gold, you better drink at least 2 cups of water!

Just curious, what is the basis of your thoughts here? Is this just your way of seeing how hydrated you are, or is this actually somewhat scientific?

its scientific. I saw it in Mens Health and Fitness. Don't you notice after you drink a large amount of water it is clear but when you go a long time without drinking water maybe soda instead, it is dark colored?

If you take, I think it's vitamin B, your urine will turn bright yellow...

The dark color of your urine, not bright yellow, but sort of darker (less flourescent) can be an indicator of dehydration, when we learned about urine testing in school we looked at the color, the ph/ketone levels, the 'gravity' which also can be related to the dark color..

I found it interesting that bb1fit just posted a more in-depth post about hydartion and then this is posted...

Same thoughts here!

Darker can also indicate an infection and or bleeding, more of a brown color can indicate blood!

i was trying to add to his post. maybe i should have done it in his post but for some reason i did it seperately. A lot of people don't know how to tell when they should drink water or if they are dehydrated.

As a general rule, you're probably not drinking enough water to begin with. So 2 more cups won't hurt.

Remember that dehydration has already started long before you get thirsty.

A little discipline at the table and at the gym might help reduce that belly!
