tap each end (until just cracked), and then peel the shell long-ways.

Lol I love this subject...... I do that.... what 10-20 times daily!!! I do a thing (which is maybe not that good) I cook a little longer my eggs (just before the yolk turns green) and then it's sooooo much easier to take off the shells.

Nina already said it: boil it a little longer. I time mine - 10 minutes from when the water first starts boiling. After 10 min, I remove them from the heat and, keeping them in the water, let them cool so they are just warm to the touch. All of the eggs peel very nicely.

The secret is to NOT use fresh eggs. If the eggs are several days old (let them sit in the fridge a few days before cooking..) the shells will come off easily, no problem!!!!!!!
