Thanks to all of you for the kind words. This morning for chest I did 70 pushups, and as i had not done these for a while thought I might have some trouble. Not so first set got 30, dipped to 18 2nd set, then got 22, for my last set. Next time I am going for 100. Tonight is cardio walk, and shoulders + arms. Also the diet is ok went a little screwy with pasta the last 2 nights but over all clean with a lot of protein. I felt very strong this morning and look forward to tonight.....

OK, I couldn't help but read some of the posts on the other message boards....what's this about a competition? For bodybuilding or overall fitness? Help me out here...I can be a bit of an airhead with this....'cause I still feel like a complete idiot with this stuff <smile> Still kind of new to me. But I've always appreciated a good challenge; will probably end up getting my butt stomped.....But, at least, I can try, right?<smile>

The competition is just a friendly means for us to try and beat the crap out of each other. We all took measurements by April 7th I believe and will terminate it on October 31st. The winner gets bragging rights and the losers have to shave the winners name in their hair.

The veins coming out so drasticly at least for me means that my bodfy fat is getting lower which is what I want....

Yeah I saw it, but Wolf does not realize that I am infused with all the little muttsters power out there Whatca gonna do?!! LOL anyway I went for a 2 mile walk pushing my son in his stroller last night. Then did shoulders and biceps. It felt great to really lift again even if it was with light weights. Did 4 sets of up right rows, 2 wide grip and two narrow, They really hit my traps and detls. Then did 2 sets of shrugs with 135 both sets to 12-15 reps and I held it for 5 sec at the top. Biceps did 4 sets of BB curls. Got 104 5 times then striped of the weight till I got to 60lbs and did 7-10 reps for each set. All in all a great workout.

Another note about veins.....now they are coming out on my thighs and chest/shoulders as well...kind freakin me out as I have never seen them there at all....I am so reved up though to keep going....

Well got a bad case of a sinus headache last week kind of took me out of the game. The good news is that is it gone and i feel great. The better news is that my wife and I got our communication lines crossed. I thought that we had no money to go back to the gym, and she thought i needed more time off cause, I had said that I wanted to take some time off. So I can go back to my gym YEAH!!!!!

Ok kids the gloves come off for real on monday next week. I am getting back to the gym then and all hell is going to break loose. All of you in the Mutt Challenge better, lash yourselves to something heavy, cause Mutt is jummping in the pool!!!!!! Tidal wave will commence on the 28th!!!!!!!!!!! You will see a great change and updated pics at the end of June!1 So hold on the ride is going to get a little rough!!

Ok so she got one....I have like at least 12 or so !!!!! So there. seriously, I think that this is the best chance I have of getting to my goals, I have decided to also go after my personal trainier cert, and I am also thinking about going back to school for a avanced degree in the near future on this. So first my body needs to get taken care of then the job.....so I am fired up like the sun on a hot july day!!!!

Thanks 4 the support dougherty! :) Yay! I have to see my abs by October 31 for me to feel like I am in this Muttchallenge and get bragging rights! Abs-olutely!!!

PT's? = Mutt & RW - way cool! Go for it! You both have what it takes - and you both describe things well (so important when teaching others)

OK, enough compliments. RW will be strutting around again and poor RB won't hear the end of it :) lol

LOL strutting around. Well I am going to do it I figure why not since I love it and can make a good living at it and I really hate what I do now and it really is not paying the bills now. So I plan to go thru ISSA since i cn do it online.

Yes to that sister!!! Anyway what ever i am doing the eating and workingout must be working cause I have had to coworkers ask me if I was on a diet and that I looked good. One said I looked like I had lost 20lbs and asked what kind of diet I was on I told her the "see-food" diet. LOL well it made me feel good!!!!

Ok last thursady i woke up with a pain in my left knee around the kneecap. It developed to the point I could not walk up or down stairs. In fact the simply getting in and out of a car was very painful. That has healed, but on sunday I got a cold. So my plan of lifting again today has been put onhold till I am over the cold. probably on wed I will start again. Ok last time (jan till end of march) I fouceds on increasing my bench. I did so by 50 lbs. This time around I will be on a cut, and will look to increase my squat as much as possible. my goal is to hit 350-375 6 times by end of may /mid of june.

LOL well my best working set in jan for bench was 200-215 depending, and last time I benched 250 6 times...so i saw a great increase.

Um ok this is not really a update, I hit the bench press mark on the last day of march...so it has ben a month. I took 2 weeks off, then, found out I could join the gym again, and got sick and went out of town etc....so I will start up again tomorrow!!!!!

Ok first real workout done on saturday...Chest and arms. I got three sets of bench done all for to reps the weight was 175,185,195. Felt good and strong. Did 2 sets of incline 135, and 155 both for 10 reps/

Ok time to finish the post got interrupted last night. I also did 2 sets for machine flies. Then did biceps barbell curls 80,90,100 all for 10 reps except for 100lbs fot 8 on that one. Then did db curls 35,40 I did these a little differentyl....I held the negative to 3-4 seconds making sure of my form......I still have a nice burn feeling running thru my bicep! Then did 3 sets of con.preacher curls with db. Triceps were kickbacks, 2 sets 30, 35 both for 10 reps, then to pressdowns and rope pressdowns supersetted with them. NIce freaking burn!!!! Also sat I walke around our zoo for 2 hours.

Went to the gym for leg day last night. I am following a completely diffeernt workout for the next 12 weeks. It is a powerlifting workout to increase my squats and to hit my goal for them. Ok I warmed up with a set of leg ext for 20 reps. Put 135 on the bar and did a wm up set of squats. Then I did 6 sets of 10 reps witht eh following weights:145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195. Needless to say I was fried at that point. Not really heavy, but as I had not done them for a month or more I am going easier. Then to finish it off I did 10 sets of hamstring curls. I can almost not walk right now!!!!! ALl in all A great workout!

That's a lot of iron Mutt. My long term is 405 for reps. (There's just something about being able to finally load up a bar with 8 plates!) For me, 10 plates (and over) is just a little too far out for me to focus on right now... But not for da Mutt-ster. Once again, you've raised the bar for the rest of us (except maybe Rev8, who squats the Mirage Hotel -- including the volcano).

Anyway - good luck on the goal, but I'm on your heels man. Don't slow down!

Thanks TSMD, update note: My best friend Ken is taking me under his wing so to speak (after all he lives in NYC), anyway he is a runner and lifter. He yelled at me somethig firercely this morning. My diet has been going well I am starting the running phase of my training. Last night we were putting our sons swingset together and my wife bought pizza n wings for dinner. So I cheated on a day I usually do not. It was bad, I feel bad since I not only hurt myself, cause if I cheat in the week it is worse cause I do not follow a very strict diet on the weekend. I also let him down as well, and all of you as well. So I am not going to let it derail my hunt for the prize, but I needed to confess a little. Ok, tonight is a funny night, I plan to start digging my garden out, eat a light dinner(snack really) then off to the gym. It is chest and calves for me tonight. Also so my pennace for blowing off the diet I am to run 2 miles. Will let you know later how it all goes.
