I don't know what it was but I'm pretty sure I should be glad that I read Charlie's reply before I was tempted to hit the link. :)

kescobedo - I'd just as soon be a coward and I'm not the least bit curious from the visuals I'm getting just from reading these posts. :)

kescobedo - one of the males main weaknesses (besides not asking directions and being hard headed) are that they are more into visuals and those visuals stick with you a long time. :)

They might be more stimulated by visuals, but the whole memory thing is person to person.

There's been a number of times where I've introduced myself to a girl, and when I try to talk to them again the next day, I start talking to a different girl of the same height and build and don't realize it till well into the conversation.

I mean, honestly, how many times have you been asked something akin to, "What's your favorite outfit of mine?" and have actually remembered something they've worn?

I always remember outfits. Then again, I pick out enough of them, so that makes it easier I guess.

I've tried it several different ways and it still doesn't work. It's like I'm playing Russian Roulette or something every time I hit enter. Probably 'cause I'm on WebTV. If you want, you can send it to the email address in my profile. It may let me open it as an attachment. I won't be heart broke if you don't.

Don't you all feel a bit sad for her? I mean it is not like people in her condition got up one day and decided to gain weight till they looked like that.

Ok I admit I do feel a bit sad...but we all have choices and we can choose whether or not to eat the right foods or the wrong foods..or whether or not we should exercise..

Nope, that is precisely why I do not feel sorry. We all have choices in life, and one needs to take responsibilty for those choices. It is not like one day it just all came on at once....

No, your exactly right mutt. She didn't get up one day and decide to gain weight to this degree. She got up day after day, after day, after day.....and decided each day. Would I help this woman if she came to me for it.....yes, would I applaud her for making a valent effort to better her health.....yes. I agree it's harder for some than others, but you should NEVER give up, never let your guard down. It's those people that don't, that become stronger, than those who got it easy.

Yeah I know all that but for someone not in any way close to her position you all think that it is easy to make that choice. I totaly aggree that the RESPONBILITY for her getting that fat is on her. However that in no way makes me not feel sad that she is in that conidition. I think ( knowing from my own experience) that you guys have no idea how truly hard it is to stop. Depression is a bad bad insidious thing and I have no doubt that she has it. You really have no idea how hard it is to feel like you want to die each day all day and that the only thing that takes that away is food.

Again I an not saying that she does not need to own up to it, but for crying out loud if you think it is so easy for her to do that you should market that and sell it.

Richard Simmons beat me to it.

Mutt, I know it's not easy, and once you start the downward spiral it can be quite overwhelming. And I'm sure once despiration sets in, you actually beleive there's no hope. But the day has to come when an individual comes to the realization, I need to help myself, or get help I need. You should know as well as anybody, there are sources and places where one can go for help and support. It just takes the initiative. This site helps people everyday, and who's to say there aren't people that size as members here right now getting the help they have come and asked for. I'd be willing to bet green money on it. I agree, what I said, and what some others had said was done in poor taste. Publically degrading someone who isn't here to defend themselves should have been my first flag not to do it, that's just part of my character. Beyond that, I can only say I did it because as you said, I've never been there so I didn't know any better. I just looked at her as a picture rather than a person. In hindsight I wish I wouldn't have made the post. It just got out of hand. Feel free to delete the message if you like.

Iunderstand the humor side of it but bashing someone for that type of thing does not sit well. It is the same thing in my eyes as making fun of a mentally handicapped person.

I am not bashing, I was stating fact. Reading what I posted, I simply said there is no reason for anyone to let themselves go that far. Life is the same for all of us, it is a series of checks and balances.

I see it and hear it day in and day out. Do I feel sorry for her, of course I do deep down. But still, there are choices, and we ALL have to make them. I do too. I have as well as she does terrible times, but I don't get "suicidial" and give up. This is what it takes to get as far as this woman did.

Face it folks, suck it up and get with the program, or cry in a bucket all day. This is the real world, this is life. We all have 24 hrs. in a day, how we choose to use them is just that, how we choose to use them.

Depression is an ugly disease. It's devastating to anyone with it and all those around them. But when did we start making excuses for people who do not seek treatment for their didease?Would you be making excuses for the alcoholic who got behind the wheel of a car and killed an entire family?Would you say it is OK because owning his own disease was simply something he "couldn't do"?Granted, this is an extreme scenario, but for me...it's relevant.

NO I never said that. ALl I am saying is that some here commented that they did not feel sorry aobut her condition. I understand that she needs to accept the blame, but I say again unless you have been obese and by that I mean at least 100lbs or higher over you can NOT have a clue what goes thru a persons head.
