Hey Everyone,
Well I finally got to climb the Peaks of Otter, in VA. My Husband and I made it to the summit in 50 mins and made it back down in 30 min. We stopped to watch a doe (deer) on our way back down and we only stoped 2 times on the way up for me to take some pictures. I can't wait to do it again next time and maybe we will make it in 45 mins. or less.

Cool and exhilarating to hear about. Where is the Peaks of Otter located near?

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Congrats on your achievement! I know how strenuous this is. I don't know how high the peak you did was, but I did 12,450, and it was incredible! And very hard. You must be very fit. Good for you!

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the congrats. It feels good to know that people actually care if you accomplish your goals or not. Anyway, the Peaks are 3865 ft above sea level and if you would like to know more about where they are and stuff you can go to www.peaksofotter.com and click on the History icon or the FAQ's icon. I know it isn't as high as 12,450 ft but it is still quite a challenging climb. Most of it seems like it is straight up. But you don't need rock climbing gear. I also greatly encourage anyone who enjoys this kind of stuff that is in the area to GO FOR IT! It is alot of FUN! Gotta go for now. Take Care.
