Hey everyone! I was just hangin out and thought it might be fun to come up with a little scale to determine your huge-ness factor :-) I'm gonna use my numbers as an example to go through the calculations.
Here's how it works: First, you have to figure out your lean mass. So take your total weight multiplied by your bf%. That is the amount of fat you have. Now subtract that number from your total bw. example: 252 x 16% = 40.3 pounds of fat 252-40.3 = 211.7 lean pounds Now take your height and convert it to inches example: 5'10.5 = 70.5 inches now take your lean mass and divide by your height in inches example: 211.7/70.5= 3.002 lean pounds per inch now, just to create more of a discrepency, multiply this number by 10. example: 3.002 x 10= 30.02 And that is it! I have a hugeness factor of 30.02! How huge are you? |

SO one of the things that got me thinking about this was Arnold. During the filming of pumping iron in 1975, they said he was 6'2, 240 lbs. So I thought it was strange that he was significantly taller than me and also weighs less than I do, but he looks quite a bit bigger than me. So I just wanted to see how much of a difference some extra fat makes, as well as height.
I'm not sure this is a very accurate guess, but I'm going to assume that when he weighed 240 in 1975 that he was at about 5% bf. So if that's accurate, that would give Arnie a hugeness factor of 30.81 |

big j - the more defined you are, the bigger you look, so you don't have to be the heaviest guy, just have good mass and definition....hence Arnold weighing less, but looking bigger.
I have also heard that he isn't as tall as he says he is, I don't know if that is true or not.... He still has a hugeness factor of 100 in my book:) |

I was thinking that he may also have had not as much weight in his lower body, which might explain the huge difference when it comes to arms and chest. Since the ideal bodybuilding of that era was more of an upside down triangle.

Arnold isn't that tall. The owner of our hospital recently had a fund-raising function for him at his house and several people that I work with were in attendance, met him, and had their pictures taken standing next to him. Most of these people (including the host) were Indian men of small stature (shorter than me) and he did not tower over them as you would expect. I wasn't invited, but I did see all the pictures, and yeah, he wasn't that tall.

Possibly he has shrunk. I know everyone who met him at that party was shocked at how short he was.

Still age only accounts for maybe 2-3in....unless he has some osteoperosis(sp) or spine issues noone knows about.
Maybe you have just really tall friends? -------------- \"The eight laws of learning are explanation, demonstration, imitation, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, and repetition\" You have to learn to follow, before you can lead. |

Like I said, these men are MAYBE my height, some shorter. And he was taller than them...just not in a significant way.
So, maybe he is fudging by a few inches on his height...you would have to measure him yourself to know for sure. Or know exactly how tall you are and stand shoulder to shoulder with him. It is pretty common for celebrities to add a couple of inches to their heights on their bios. Anyway, I don't care if is he or he isn't. Didn't mean to start anything. |

You be the judge...here is a link to pics of the owner of our hospital with various dignitaries. Dr. Reddy is about 5' 6". Ronald Regan DOES tower over him and he was supposedly 6'1".

lol the top of his head...barly comes to his eye brow level....if he has a big head...he could easly get 5-6in out of that...nothing looks weird about that?
he is portrayed bigger on screen. However he's still a good 6' -------------- \"The eight laws of learning are explanation, demonstration, imitation, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, and repetition\" You have to learn to follow, before you can lead. |
