That said I have had a subscription to Flex for a few years. I have read and or looked at all the others out there. In fact for 4 years I bought Flex, M&F, Ironman, and Musclar Development ( or whatever they are calling themselves), every month. Here is the thing, I take my Flex into work when I get it. I then, while I wait for a call to come in read it. I just got the new issue the other day, and like always brought it in. I was told to today that I could not leave it lying open, or closed on my desk that someone here had found it offensive. I can not believe it! I mean it had no undressed men or women, nothing that I would have thought would be offensive. Anyone got a clue on this, cause I am at a loss as to what to say about it. ---------------------------- Life comes by only once....Live it to the fullest!

It is because she is a big lady and It bothers her to see people in good shape...but bothers her even more to see people enjoy looking...lol. These people are so funny. It makes them look even more miserable. Poor self esteam is what ii is. They need to get with it, or to get over it.

Well, since I was lucky enough to win the French Championchip (back in May) then we have made posters as advertisement for the gym with me on. Okey that's great and people are impressed (and more clients to my gym!) BUT the other day I was picking up something somewhere and they have asked me to bring some flyers for the gym. Well, to make them smile (?!!!) I've brought a poster with me as well. Ooooooooh those women didn't appreciate that!!!!! I don't know if they just think I'm extremely ugly or if they are jealous..... can't say but I must admit that I got pretty hurt from their reaction ): Ah well, they can keep their fat a$$ because I'm NOT gonna change!! As unfortunate as that may be, the political environment of today makes it a serious consequence of the workplace. Businesses are so gun-shy about this that they have grossly over-reacted with new policies, actions, etc. Lawsuits have caused this inevitablity. In my personal opinion, I don't see where the magazine would be offensive however, it's not your choice unfortunately and the only thing you can do is comply. BTW, thanks for all the great tips on here, I'm new to the site and you, bb1fit, and others have some great solid advice. Take care.

If it was in your own little corner, not out in the general public for viewing, that does make it a little harder to convince HR folks it was blatant or anything like that. They claim to be offended by everything that THEY don't like. They push their opinions and self-loathing onto others, making the work environment miserable for people like you Mutt. Unfortunately, DP is right, companies are so afraid of being sued that they bow down to these haters. Most likely it was a woman who was upset over it, because most men don't bother with such pettiness. But how many times have you seen photos of half-naked men pinned up to cubicle walls or used a computer desktop wallpaper? Do these people find this offensive? When they see something like that, they are reminded that it is their own fault that they are fat because they see what others have been able to accomplish. Sooner or later it's going to be unPC for YOU to be in shape because it makes the fat people feel bad about themselves.

Everynight i would fillit half way to freeze so I would have ice water all day. Now someone is taking it out and outting in the fridge, or leaving it out alltogether, and sometimes pouring the water out beforeit freezezs. I have no idea who and when I left note asking them to stop they nicely wrote nasty things on it. I do not want to sound whiny or anything but it really pisses me off cause I really like ice water compared to what I have been drinking (warm tap). I just want to catch them once doing it....cause that is all the chance I will need. -------------- IF THE SWEAT AIN'T IN YOUR EYES, AND IT AIN'T STINGING, THEN YOU AIN'T LIFTIN!

Fitness is nothing sexual and I agree that it was probably one of the people that have no desire to be healthy. I deal with equal opportunity/sexual harrasement everyday in the Marines and I don't see how that can be offensive to anyone. -------------- Lisa
