Just being curious here. Tell me the exercise you love the most and the exercise that you really dislike!!!For me my favorite exercise is back extensions..... Actually I have been doing it so much that I have been overtraining my lower back. That's a bugger I can tell you, because you use the lower back muscles every single time you do a tiny movement. An exercise that I really don't like is the leg extension one...... |

I'm with you on leg extensions--they burn incredibly!! Starting to really like pull ups, it's gratifying when you can do w/out assistance. |

For me I'd have to say Squats are my favorite and arm curls i hate. I love the pain associated with larger muscles but pain with arms just hurts...*l* |

i really don't like to admit but honestly i hate squats with all my heart, they make me sweat so much. i think my favorite excercis would be bench press!!! i'm a big time bench press lover. and it works most of the muscles that i really love like tricepts, chest, and shoulders... |

I just love to do lying hamstring curls. I hate any exercise that stresses my low back..squats, long pulls and deadlifts. |

My favorite: skullcrushers. I love that burn. I've gained almost 3 inches on my arms in 7 months and I believe skullcrushers are the reason why.I agree with Arnold on the least favorite. Working abs, to me, is just no fun. Have to work 'em, but I'm not a big fan of ab excercises. |

What do you guys have against abdominals?!! lol Hmmm I never thought that this harmless exercise could wake up so much frustration. But often people forget (or don't know) that you have a lot of different exercises for the same muscle group so if you hate one then often you can use some others. That's the same with the abdominals... I can show you at least 20 different ways of working them! |

Let's see....I have lots of favs..among them are squats, leg press, ham-curls. I dislike most shoulder exercises...just can't seem to get into it...although I love the definition they give! |

And also,I'm kinda new at this weight training and some of the exercises dont have pic's and are not really explained to understand. What is straight leg deadlift...I need help soon !!! Sugarmom,Try doing more cardio if you are trying to cut up, 30 min. 3 times a week. Workout in this order warmup, weights, abs and then cardio. Up your protein intake and lower your carb intake; don't overtrain!!!!! Set a goal that is within reason and go for it. It doesn't happen overnight, but don't give up it will come in time. Good luck!!! |

Sugarmom,Straight leg deadlifts are something like a regular deadlift but they are for your hamstrings not your lower back. With this exercise you keep your knees just slightly bent. Some like to stand on a block of wood, or a stand of sorts so to get an extra stretch for the back of your legs. You will know if you are doing this right if you feel the stretch in the back of you legs. Don't forget, not to heavy, it is better to have good form. |

Just one last thing, Sugarmom, don't forget to stretch those muscles. It's good to build muscle mass, but if you want your muscles to look nice as well, then it's a good idea to stretch them. Straight leg deadlifts is a good exercise to stretch and work with your muscles all in once. Good luck!! |

My favorite muscle to work out is my chest. I particularly loike the machine flies for some reason. My least favorite would be calf raises and leg extensions...although I am starting to get used to them.:dumbbell: javascript:void(0)

Lower the weight and do deadlifts, that has helped me I now hit 275x5 with pretty good form for bent rows.-------------- If you can itch your nose after arm day...do another set! 7707mutt@freetrainers.com |

Hysterical. I like bench of all kinds. I like bicep curls. I HATE squats. I hate all leg exercise, actually (deadlifts, lunges etc.). I can completely work out my upper body, no prob. But lower body I hate. Seriously. No, I'm serious. Hate! Seriously!

Your profiles says and I quote
"I want to add muscle, and cut fat, neither of which I can ever seem to accomplish." Lets see you hate squats and all leg exercises - no wonder you can not reach your goals. Your workout sucks !!! -------------- Life is a lesson. You will learn it when you are gone. | |

i love doing deadlifts and reverse grip curls. i love the burn in my lower back and in my forearms that i get after doing them. least favorite are shoulder and lat excercises, with abs being close behind. i love the feeling of sore abs the day AFTER working them out, but the burn during an intense ab workout make me want to puke. i always get a throbbing ache in my shoulders when i work them out for some reason.

No, I hate doing them. Doesn't mean I don't do them. There's a difference. I hate going to work, but it doesn't mean I don't go.

I feel that is not cool KA. To say some ones work out sucks is not the way to help. Why don't you give him a good work out to do instead of bashing his. I am not trying to start anything, But it is rude to be so direct sometimes. I know, I am not one to talk so I guess I should retract that statement.

Favourite exercise(s) for me are chinups and pullups, hands down! Least favourite exercise for me would have to be leg extensions, i find these annoying.-------------- \"Gold medals aren\'t really made of gold.
