Well as most you know, i'm a cheerleader, and i love to work out, heres my problem. I don't have time in the day to actually sit down and eat, so I have to take foods that I can store in a bag, only prob is I dunno if i'm eating enough calories. Heres what a typical day looks like.

breakfast 6am
Big bowl of Smart start w/protein in it, which is mixed with rasin nut brain( for the fiber)2/3 smart 1/3 brain..........multivit. and amino acid pill(2222mg)

snack around 10ish
1/2 peanut butter sandwich( natural)wheat

snack before practice about 2:30
Turkey sandwich wheat, lots meat, cheese

Home about 6pm
Either light protein shake w/creatine for before workout, in milk( amino pill(2222mg)

workout to about 7:30
Protein shake w/ creatine amino acid pill(2222mg)
dinner 8pm
meat, and or some veggies

Now monday practice 230-430
tues workout 6-730
wed practice 230-430
thurs practice 230-430 workout 6-7, stunt 8-9
friday rest
sat rest or football game
sun workout 1hr and half, somtime that day

as you can see i'm active all week, this also doesn't account me walking about mile mile half in a day going to classes. And I have to jog after practice, for about 1/4 mile.......actually we soposed to run almost a mile, I only run about 1/2 it lol. I'm just looking to graddually get stronger. I don't mind losing body fat, but I don't wanna lose muscle, AT ALL...........so am I eating enough?

I'm about 260 if that helps.

I believe you just posted this, give a chance to look it over. Giving a snap answer is not the best advice, and I for one am all about giving the best and most accurate advice I can.

B.A. I can't add up the calories without a lot of work and more info. How many calories per day are you eating?

I'm not sure how to decide when I'm eating enough unless I add up the calories and look at the macros.

Big Andrew are you posting as CBAS1 in disguise? Why you being defensive and getting snippy? Cool out big fella, go flip a chick or something, come back, and I am sure your question will be answered.

It is about analyzing a persons needs to give a correct response based on the question they asked. This is especially true for diet/nutrition.

I think you are lacking in protein for sure, here is a question.....are you losing body fat or gaining muscle or making any other changes? Again what exactly are you trying to do just stay in shape for cheering or to get cut or gain mass what? that info would be helpful!

Some relitive strength gains and size would be nice, however I don't think I can do that, and cheer at the same time.

I'm just looking to graddually get stronger. I don't mind losing body fat, but I don't wanna lose muscle, AT ALL...........so am I eating enough?

basicly maintainance, with gradual gains I guess.

Without knowing any quantities, It is hard to say. A shallow answer would be no, you are not eating enough.

I don't think you're taking in enough overall calories at all, in regards to any of the macros.
I'm almost twice your age (with a slower metabolism as a result), not as active as you, and 20 lbs lighter, and I still eat more than twice as much. Maybe you're still burning off baby fat, but in order to gain strength, you're definitely going to have to up those numbers.

Only had a few minutes before, but now that I read your post, there actually is a very quick answer to your question. No way are you eating enough, in fact I don't know how you do it with that diet at 260!!

When I first glanced at this post, what I saw was your impatient response to your original post, and only glanced at your original post. Thought you had actually listed your diet with calorie amonts, etc. This is where some time should be heeded to analyze a personal diet. Without this, I am in complete agreement with Charlies reply....I don't see how you can possibly analyze a proper diet with no information as to calories, macros, etc.

well thanx again guys, and sorry for being impatiant...........my only prob is, I have no access to microwaves or anything so what I carry has to be ok to eat at room temp. And I really don't wanan carry a cooler around full of sandwiches and junk. I don't know what else I can carry around besides....
nuts
p/b sandwiches
ham/ turky sandwiches w/cheese

I'm runing out of ideas

by the way this diet is only for 3 days mon, wed fri when i'm at school. Other four days, I am able to eat ever 3 hours. Good meals that is. I thinks thats the only thing saving me lol

I cook chicken breasts for dinner, leave the leftovers in the fridge overnight in Tupperware, then take them to work and eat some at 10-10:30, and again at 1:30, leaving for the gym at 2:30. I don't usually refridgerate the chicken breasts during the day, and they taste just fine to me. Just an idea. I've learned lately, that a lot of different types of leftovers taste just fine cold.

Also, if you have access to water, take some meal replacement bars or protein bars with you. They are small and filling. I used to carry a water bottle with me everywhere (I'm a cyclist, duh!).
