THE BEST PIECE OF ABS-SCULPTING EQUIPMENT IS A FORK
Guys, everyone has abs. Yes, everyone. They get worked even if you never target them directly with exercises like crunches, because they stabilize every lift, including isolation moves like curls. The reason you can't see yours isn't lack of exercise. It's excess fat.
The solution is NOT to do fancy abs exercises. Or crunches. Or an Ab Lounge. It's to eat properly.
I recently just read this on a random site, not by any big name person with years of experience or anything like that but this just sums up what hundreds of members need to know and ask and what hundreds of other members have been telling them! Personally I don't see how the members that have been here along time don't crack it when someone asks how to get that 6 pack! Hopefully this will slow down the rate of how to get abs questions, and in the most simple way possible:big_smile:

Good post.
But now comes the pessimist in me.
Some will read it, some won't. Some that will, will think diet is not the key. They will think 500 crunches a day will cure their 'love handles.' Because they don't want to give up their Cheetos and milkshakes.
Those that won't read it will still post 'how do I get a six pack?' We'll direct them to this post, yet they won't believe it cause they don't want to give up their Cheetos and milkshakes.
Normally I'm a glass is half-full kinda guy, but for as long as things like the Sauna Belt and Ab Lounge and all the other garbage that makes its way to the Shopping Network and overnight Informecials exist, we will be answering the most popular question in the world "how do I get a six pack?"
Sorry for the negativity here, but abs 'are where it's at' as long as I can eat what I want and how much of it I want.

I have to agree with Tim on this. But all in all nice post for those with the right mindset. :)

Well, as much as I agree with the premise as I have preached endlessly, abs are 90% made in the kitchen. However, the notion(and this is not the first time this has been posted) that no special ab work is needed is just as absurd. Yes, we all have abs. But to have 'show abs' you must work them. Biceps are there too, but to have any degree of 'show', you must do something to overload them.

bb1 i think what the guy was saying wasn't so much saying you don't need to work them but more that you don't need to do a countless amount of different excercises for them instead spending more time working on your diet was better. You were actually one of the main reasons i posted this because looking through all the old posts alot of the time your the first one to answer and its always the same thing and the best excercise is the push away  i just thought if there was something that all new people could look at save alot of people that help out on this site alot of time. thanks

i saw a trainer on tv actually reinforce this abs are made in the kitchen he said. then went on to say 80% of the effort is dietry based.
