Today at the the gym I did the most embrassing this in my life at the gym. I was doing heavy weight with the leg curl machine and all of a sudden when i squeezed at the top I let a huge fart. Not just a tutter but loud. Then I look to my left this hot chick in the gym in laughing her ass off. I felt so little.....I think ill stay light for a few or lay off the beers the night before.

haha....been there done that.......that's one of top 3 for me.....I was doing sit ups and let one go...with a hot chick next to me...although I am not sure whether she realized it.....the other was getting my sweat pants split around the crotch area and not realizing for like half hour....sitting with my legs spread wide doing incline DB flyes......then there was a time where I lost balance and fell with 225 on shoulders while doing squats to the floor completely backwards witht he bar landing on top of me like i was doing floor presses....

take it in stride we have all done embarassing things...so it's all good....

:laugh::laugh:

i think we've all let one rip at the gym.. after a hard night of drinkin my gas was pretty nasty and one slipped out.. these 2 guys walkin by nearly gagged and were laughin their heads off.. i just went back to the hyperextension machine and continued like i didnt know what was going on

then its nice when you load up the preacher bar, and put on a faulty clip, which of course, lets go when you lift it and all the wieghts slide off and clang on the floor. everyone stops and stares at you like you stole something or are a complete newb..

Mine was I was in gym one morning about 8 or 9am I was one of like 3 or 4 people. This was about 2 years ago. I was bench pressing 225......and I wanted one more rep.....well I didn't get it lol......So there i was 225 on my chest......no one around.......tried rolling it down....that hurt......tried to rest and see if I could eventually get it up.....nope......finally a guy came over and helped me out.

Heres a few from my highschool years...oen time I was maxing on dls.......on the up part I let a huge fart out, that lasted like 3 secs the whole way up, I started laughing at my lock out point........my coach gave me thumbs up for the max.....then came ovwer with the air freshner can ... and said I may need to go check my shorts.

And another time, i was having a contest......see who can clean and press the most weight over head. Me and this football player where the only two left......we was up to 232...he missed it, and I wanted to beat the football player, cause I was a cheerleader lol

So i cleaned it, and started to squat and press it over my head.....well I got stuck and it started to come back down. Well it did, but on the top of my head. Coach thouth that was the funnest thing in world......said I lost an inch on my height after that.

I got stuck plenty of times....one time iw as doing 'box squats'...and I sat down and couldn't get up...and noone around and I am just sitting there with 315 on my shoulders pondering the meaning of life...lol....finally 2 guys ran over and helped me up....

Got stuck on squats so many times that I don't think I have very many fond memories lol...

lol mine aren't nearly as embarrasing as those big andrew, but there was this one time where I put the pin in on the seated rows, and I usually put my feet on the pad before I sit down and pull back, but the pin wasn't in all the way and when I went back, I fell back all the way. The gym was packed with people that day and everyone was laughing at me. I decided to go to my other exercise and come back to that one later. lol

god im glad i workout at home...but, if i get stuck with a bar on my chest or something, ive got no one to help get the weight off me. I was stuck with about 180 lbs on my chest for 15-20 minutes before my brother came home as saw me.

I was doing flat bench dumbbell presses, and on the 9th rep that I knew I shouldn't have attempted. I got them about 3/4 of the way up shaking really bad. My right arm gave in and sent the weight towards my head. I decided to divert it to the floor instead, and well then the left arm followed the right arm's dumbbell. When all was said and done, there were 3 loud bangs on gym floor. Right dumbell, my body getting thrown off the bench, and then the left dumbbell. Of course there was a 300+ fully cut up guy beside me looking over to ask if I was alright, while we were both trying to keep from laughing too much. LOL....

Mine is the same as bigandrew, expect with going for 8th rep with 185, fell on me, and I had to yell for my girl friend to come help me. It was a very sad day.

Today was leg day, and I've only been a gym member for a month now, so all the various machines are daunting to say the least. I certainly don't wanna look like a newb either, even though I feel sorta nerdly walking around with my clipboard with my freetrainers sheet on it. I guess everyone else works out on the fly...

I apologize for my digression.

Anyways, my first three sets on both the leg extension machine, and the prone leg curl machine, the bar was way up high, basically I was lifting the weight with my shins for one, and the back of my calves for the other. I finally realized the bar could be adjusted and did so. A frickin' midget must've been on the machine before me! I don't think anyone saw me, but I still feel like an idiot with raw shins and all!

You know - personally I find it MORE embarassing it a silent gas omission occurs! At least if you let one rip you can blush and accept the blame. I find myself wanting to run for the hills if a silent-but-deadly gets out!

the first time getting on a treadmill, i put the speed to fast and was trying to slow it down but went in the other direction, mind you, this was back in 1996 in a packed 24 hour fitness. The outcome wasn't pretty as I ended up on the ground behind the treadmill with two personal trainers helping me up. I was so humiliated, but i crack up at it now...hehe

saw something similar the other day. A guy was going fast on treadmill. Jumped off to rest but left treadmill going. Must have forgot about it and went back on. Smack!! on the ground. Rolling around!

Mine- Un loading olympic bar. Did not realise how much was on. Kept on un-loading one side. The bar tipped and flew! Luckily no one in way. V. embarrassing.

I saw an old man face plant on a treadmill and then get shot off the back of it. I had to turn my treadmill off because I was laughing too hard to run. The really funny part was that I heard his shoes squeak a few times from stepping alittle wide off the belt so it got my attention and then happened right as I was looking at him.

that's some funny stuff...i guess i might as well thorm mine in there as well

the first time i ever tried to squat 350lbs(jumped from 300), i went down in the squat rack and well never came back up. the worst part was that back then my grip on the bar was extremely wide, so my thumbs were actually pinned under the bar as well. the only other guy in the place was across the room on the phone, when he saw he came running. now that's funny, well right up until i thought we broke my thumb lifting one side then the other.

another great one was a buddy of mine was doing some pull downs on the lat tower. he decided that him being new to lifting didn't matter, he could do as much as the rest of us. so his new nickname was born, the infamous: "Spicer Slingshot"! it jerked him out of his seat and i swear that his entire body was parallel with the floor at the top pulley of the lat tower.

the third most embarassing thing in the gym, again belongs to me. i was doing decline bench and when going up on my last rep, my left arm went up while my right arm stayed behind letting a couple of 45's slide off before i could do anything about it. so the bar did a catapault off of my chest.

the last great blunder that i've witnessed in the gym was a guy who did alot of talkin' and alot of looking at himself in the mirror which made this that much more funny. i wasn't on that side of the gym that day, but he came over and asked for help putting the bar back on the bench. i sort of unkowingly said sure and went over to the flat bench and there in the floor lay a barbell with 135lbs on it. he said he must of "maxed out", and rolled the bar off of his chest and onto the floor. i told him not to worry about it and grabbed the bar and set it back into the rack. a buddy of mine who was there has never let me live it down, just (in his words) throwing the "pretty boys" weight back onto the rack and breaking his spirit.

I asked if he was ok after I got rid of the extra marbles I had been throwing on his treadmill ;)

I have a couple stories one farting and one squating.

I used to free-weight squat 255 about a year ago when I was doing legs pretty often. So two months ago when I started legs up again I put on 225 on the smith machine thinking that was like 185 free-weight, well boy was I wrong. I went down and kept going down, I latched the bar and fell backwards with people staring at me.

Also about a month ago I was doing some crunches on the swiss ball talking to my friend Michelle who I see maybe 3 or 4 times a year because of school. This was the first time I saw her this year so I did my set and then started talking again. I told her I was having a party on the weekend and she said she would probably stop by. I go to do my last set and let a huge ripper out, it didn't smell at all, but it was loud. She never showed up to my party, but I still talk to her at the gym (feels a little awkward).

gangster...you'd encouraged my greatest fear. Everytime I jump on the treadmill I have this fear that I'm gonna face plant into the track and go shooting off the back end. Eventually I probably will.

My treadmill "incident" involved catching my headphone wire with my arm while running and ripping the ipod off my waist causing me to curse rather loudly and almost zip off the end of the treadmill along with my ipod. Lot's of interesting looks from those around me as my ipod bounced of the wall behind me. Fortunately both me and my ipod survived!

I also once got bonked on the head by the overhead lat handles. For some reason when I pulled the pin out to change the weight the handle came down on my head. I didn't see it coming so didn't know what hit me...again another loud curse... Ended up with a bit of a goose egg on my head with that one.

Probably the most embarrasing incident involved a PT session where my trainer had me jumping rope between sets...suffice it to say I don't recommend jumping rope if you're female, have had kids and are over 40!:surprised:

well, the most embarassing thing that happened to me so far is taking 2 heavy dumbells to the bench and not even being able lift them one rep. i was right in front of the row of steppers and treadmills on which most of the girls were working out. i felt such shame. well, at least i guess its not as bad as farting lol. farting is so disgusting..ahaha
but i saw an embarassing thing happened to another guy. he was doing standing bicep curls with this heavy barbell, he was so intense at eat that some snut came out of his nose. he prolly had a cold or something..it was visibly disgusting. we all pretended like we didnt see.
