They are full of crap. Actually, my understanding is that if you are large busted you will get a very different reading than if you are...not, regardless of your overall body fat.

They are definitely crap, dfly - your fluid levels affect the reading, a high amount of muscle affects the reading, if you ate drank or smoekd beforehand affects the readings, soooo mnay factors affect the readings - very inaccurate. get a calipers reading done - have them do a four-site and a three-site and avergae the two. A good trainer should know what that means.

Oh, and Jay - What the?????

Gigi4444 - you can join in - Sailn_lady just joined in as a late start. if you want to lose bodyfat and look more 'toned (muscular) this is a great plan. It is actaully based on a plan figure competitiors use.

Just read all of the WSSC posts (food, workout, cardio, stats) and send me your full set of stats if you want to be officially in the challenge!

WoW, awesome stats everyone! Look at all those inches disappearing:big_smile: Amy, you're doing an amazing job keeping all these folks motivated. I think I'm most proud of msmogreen who, although hasn't lost pounds, has managed to grow her own posse of wt training womens:dumbbell::dumbbell: wish I lived close enough to join the posse!!! Keep up the great work everyone...I'm hoping to be back in the gym next week and I'm looking forward to trying out Amy's killer workouts (once I get back into the groove)

Stats sent, and for anyone else who's interested here are mine so far.

bicep r 14.25" l 14.25"
thigh r 25.75" l 25.50"
calves r 15.75" l 16.00"
weight 220lbs
chest over 42.50"
chest under 39.00"
Hips 41.00"

A little disappointed with the weight to be honest, although the inches indicate I'm still losing fat so I must be gaining some muscle. Even so, the next few weeks I'm going to concentrate on cardio with the weights to maintain, rather than what I feel I've been doing - concentrating on the weights with a little cardio thrown in.

Previous stats

bicep r 13.75" l 13.75"
thigh r 25.5" l 25"
calves r 17" 17"
weight 221lbs
chest over 42.5"
under 40.5"
waist 39"
hips 44"

And the first 2 weekly stats.

bicep r 13.5" l 13.5
thigh r 25.75" l 25"
calves r 16.5" 16"
Weight 223lbs
Chest over 44"
Chest under 40.5"
Waist 42"
Hips 44"

And the starting stats

bicep r 14" l 14.5
thigh r 27" l 26"
calves r 17.25" 17.5"
Weight 230lbs
Chest over 43.5"
Chest under 40.5"
Waist 44"
Hips 45"

Everyone wha has sent stats in so far - you are doing great! I know it is frustarting because sometimes it isn't as fast as you want, and sometimes the scale refuses to budge - but you have all lost inches - and that is great! i will wait a day or two so the rest of the gang can send in their stats and then I will post a group update.

Jon - you are funny, you just posted in the small victories thread about how your wife says you look great and how you had to buy smaller clothes - quit worrying so much about the scale - you have lost inches and it is showing!

Alright - i think everyone is ready for a switch in routine - so be sure to check the cardio and lifting threads for a new schedule/routine!:)

yup...we are still going strong! For those who don't know I switched to a muscle gain goal. Davids weight loss is going great. He stood up very well when his kids were asking for cokes this weekend. Simply said we don't buy that junk any more. I have managed to hit one of my goals too. I am back into my size 6 jeans and a couple of my 4s even fit!!!!! Whoo hooo. Weather is getting hotter in the 80s and I am starting to look forward to bikini time! Everyone is doing GREAT!!!! Nice to have a "pack" of similar minded people to go thru all this with!

Sorry - I was waiting for more people to turm them in, maybe we have lost a few... I also had a busy weekend...so - here are the results for those who sent them in (in no particular order):

Sailin_lady has lost 4.25 inches! Keep it up, Dottie!

Dfly411 has lost another 4 pounds and 6 1/2 inches 9rock and roll, Dfly!)

maricelamurphy navigated the buffets in Vegas and still lost 6.25 inches!

Christal086 has lost another 7.5 inches - you go, Christal!

Ravenbeauty has dropped another 2 inches! Keep it up, Rb!

Msmogreen - over her plateau? She has dropped 4.25 pounds and 2 1/2 inches. Go! Go! Go!

Jaytori - down another two pounds and 1.25 inches - keep it up, Big Guy!!!

Jonshez - Wife is happy, looking like Tom Cruise...droped another pound and 4 Inches!

Freedomfound dropped another .5 inch - keep going, Adam, you are just at a holding point. Plus your blood pressure and resting heart rate are BIG results - you should share that info with people on the boards!

OKay - we are missing chellie1234, KC_72, and Bouncerboo - where are you ladies?????

I will try to get my stats in Sunday--but I won't be home until late, so might have to wait until Monday, if that's okay. Not that it matters all that much. Seems my weight is going up about 5 lbs. around my period, so every other time stats are due my weight is off.

oh I don't know how I will come out on this one since I missed two weeks of the programs workout, granted I still did some stuff and actually went down yet another pant size.

I am just so happy of all the results I have gotten thus far! Thanks AMY for all of the awesome work in putting this together for us! I myself am forever grateful to you and I can't wait to show off this body in a bikini in Mexico this December baby! YEAH!:love:

I won't be sending in mine because they are up, and have been up, and unlikely to go down significantly before the end. I'm sticking with the workout, and still working at the diet, but sending in my stats is pointless for me. However, I do no Maricela is planning to send hers in tonight.

Of course, I'm not sure I should be crowned anything, much less Miss WSSC on account that I cried last night over my son's potato chips. I mean, I actually SHED TEARS because I wanted some so bad. How pathetic.

Dfly, at least you had to control yourself, I'd have probably just had them and then felt like cr*p.
At the risk of being controversial, check the label, it's carbs and fats, but if they're the right sort of fats then I'd say having a few chips is not going to knock you off track. Provided it fits in with everything else and you're staying active. Surely tormenting yourself that way is worse for you psychologically (it would be for me).

<-----loads flaming arrow onto bow.

Seriously, I know what you mean Jon...and you have a very good point.

However, the reason I was so dead set against having any chips was because I was NOT hungry. In a sense, the tears were not so much for not being able to have something that wasn't on my meal plan as they were for the frustration I felt and feel when I want to comfort eat. I swear, sometimes I feel like an addict trying to walk away from her drug of choice. So, it's a control thing, if you will.

Am I making any sense at all?

I do tend to talk in circles, you know.

Any more entries before I post results??????

Funny to look back and see how many people started this challenge and how many are left.

yes I will send mine in tonight...I didn't know they were due this last Sunday. I will try to have Dottie send her's in too Amy, she will probably tomorrow so if you could hold off on results until Sunday, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

WElllll - I think we are finished this weekend!

Anyone that wants to be in the final tally should send me a set of stats by Tuesday at the latest - I will tabulate results and post the final results Wednesday!

I bet you are all looking forward to a week off!
