I have been working out for about 3 months- 4 days a week, sometimes 5. I do 30-50 minutes of cardio a day briskly walking at different inclines. I also do about 15-20 minutes of random weight training.
I am 26, 5'6 and weigh 150 pounds and am looking to loose 10 pounds. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I was thinking of starting a new routine where I rotate cardio with weight training. Help!

How do you feel when you're working out. Do you feel like your really pushing yourself? You may need to change things up a bit. Try adding HIIT to your routine or cycling or running for cardio. Try one of the wt. programs on this site. "Random weight training" will get you nowhere. You should set up a routine based around compound moves, squats, lunges, chest presses, pull downs, pull ups, to name a few. All these use multiple large muscle groups. Do cardio 2-3X/week (30min/session) and wt train 3X/week(45min/session). Also, make sure you have a clean healthy diet. There is tons of great nutritional and exercise info on this site. Educate yourself and you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Good luck and welcome to FT.

I pasted a link to a post asimmer made awhile back that will possibly help you. If what you're doing hasn't shown any improvement in 3 months, I'd change it. Are you doing a routine from this site? If not, I'd recommend you sign up for one. I'd also take a close look at your diet as that's 50% or more of the battle.

1/ Maybe your intensity's too low. Start running for the same amount of time instead of jogging. Cardio should be 5-6 days a week.

2/ Diet-maybe your carbs, calories and fat are too high.

Cardio 5-6 days a week on what basis do you make that claim?

Experience. When it comes to losing weight, more is better. It works, try it if you're up to the challenge.

Pain is only temporary, it is in your mind. If you can still walk, then you can still run.
