looking for more works to work the traps. My traps are ok but i want to work them out alot more. I want big traps, however other than shrugs which i usually don't feel what other works work the traps real good.

Well, to me the number one trap exercise is upright rows. Done properly, they will burn your traps up. And then do a couple sets of DB shrugs, you should get a nice workout. If you do behind the neck presses first, gets even better.

I like to bend (at the waist) slightly forward to perform barbell shrugs. This angle allows you to hang your arms without the bar hitting your legs. But more importantly, it provides a great angle to hit your traps and squeeze. Don't roll your shoulders, just heavy up and down works wonders. As bb1fit stated, I like to add upright rows as well.

Ditto both of those will hit them hard, and like w8lifter says don,t roll the shoulders it really does nothing but waste energy and could hurt you shoulder joint.

I like to lean myself against an incline bench. Bassically stay standing and lean against it with my chest. I put the bench at around a 70-80 degree angle and use dumbells and let them hang in front of me. I then shrug them up.
As everyone says. Don't roll them as you'll hurt your shoulders. The best is to pull up and then try to bring your shoulder blades together when you're at the top of the movement. This angled variations really hits them at a different angle and is nice for a change.
I'm sure I didn't explain the above technique right at all. If anyone understands what I was trying to say, then cudos :)

also, dont drop your head foward while doing shrugs: this puts unnecessary stress on your c-spine as well as limits the range of motion of your shrugs.
