I've talked with a few women who don't want to lift weights because it'll make them 'bulky.' It won't, it can't and here's a case to prove it.
I give to you, Tara Nott:

This gal lifted 181 pounds in the snatch, 225.77 pounds in the clean and jerk for an American-record total 407.48 pounds. She won a gold medal in the 105 pound class in the Sydney Olympics. She's little and mighty.

She is awesome! And she is NOT bulky, that is for sure!

Most men have to work their ass off to "bulk up" and they have loads of testosterone running through their bodies. So it's obviously silly for women to think that if they so much as pick up a weight they are going to get "bulky"

This is my daughter all wrapped up in that one word, although many of us have told her countless times that is not gonna happen. It appears though, I have her hooked on working out now, she did awesome in her squats yesterday and was pumped afterwards!

Very cool, Bettia! I'm working on my older daughter. We were at least doing yoga together, but I bailed on her because the instructors were so bad. Now I've got to get her in to at least work on strenghtening her shoulder--the one that keeps dislocating.

She rocks! I thought heavy lifters had to be bigger than that.
