as a tattoo artist for over five years.i keep getting asked if body building will destroy the tattoo .i tell them i nevr have heard of it happening since the tattoo will grow with the mass.after all i pull (stretch)the skin in first place to assure total coverage of ink.since i never heard of massave muscle growth happening in a few days is my answer to their question correct?

You see lots of massive BBs with absolutely great tattoos.
I've never heard about it as a problem (or the tattoo getting directly misformed)

I have a lot of tattoos, and have been through many weight/size fluctuations. None of my tattoos has stretched or become deformed.
As far as bodybuilding, the only real concern about tattoos is that they don't obscure your definition, or detract from y9our total package, some judges don't want to see heavilt tattoed competitors, others don't care.

As an FYI:
I recall a study that was done by several Italian scientists a few years ago that alleged the muscle tissue that is under a tattoo is subject to a type of very slow necrosis; so not only will the tissue not develop to its potential, but it may even lose shape/size.
Like I said, it's been a while, but I'll see if I can find the documentation once again...
