Which is better, jogging two miles or doing sprints for 20 minuets.

a mixed combination of both is best. this is like a form of HIIT. Do a search on here to read more in HIITS. Good luck!

Doing sprints for 20 minutes are much more the way to go for a toned lean body. You are doing short bursts of all out effort. This translates to muscle atrophy while burning fat too. Take a look at any sprinters physique. They are all toned an muscular. Now, look at a runners physique. They are usually lean, yes, but more on the skinny side, never grow any, and at the same time flabby skinny. This is a precise example of the difference between muscle overload as compared to muscle exhaustion. So, take your choice of the two. Good luck to you....
