Diet is key, along with proper exercise. You can get a FREE workout plan from this site and start.

Read around the site, check out the diet forum and grab the grocery list and start shopping.

Yup... a form of cardio would be done on the treadmill or the bike.

Endless crunches won't get rid of a belly. That is mostly diet combined with some exercise. Try adding some weights.. again, get a routine from here. If there are any questions ask away.

And certainly ask people at the gym to help out, too.

Cardio = cardiovascular exercise. Generally referred to as anything that gets your heart rate up for whatever time frame you need.

Examples: Running (treadmill, elliptical machine, on a track), bicycle, swimming, fast paced walks, etc, etc.

Most people would recommend a weight lifting routine (sign up for one on this site) followed by some cardio for weight loss (assuming you already have addressed your diet needs).
