I still got a half a gallon of water sitting next to me, but when it runs out, I am afraid I will be reaching for that damn coke. -------------- I have a bowel movement every morning at 9:00am sharp.

howdiekat Posts: 1,345 Joined: 2003/05/22	2004/10/15, 02:59 PM once when i was a senior in high school my college advisor gave me a coke in front of my entire class and gave me permission to drink it in the senior meeting. at that point i hadn't had a soft drink in 2 1/2 years (it's been over 7 now) and i just sat there thinking, what do i do with this? in the end, i managed to get through the meeting without opening it despite her looking at me the entire time urging me to drink it, then i gave it to my friend. pawn it off on someone who wants their body to be a toxic playground :big_smile: -------------- i wish you ill, ice-t. margarine is a liar who announces, "i am butter!"

Remove Grease from Clothes Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy work clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular wash cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains Remove Rust Spots from Chrome Car Bumpers Rubbing the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola will help remove rust spots Loosen a Rusted Bolt Applying a cloth soaked in a carbonated soda to the rusted bolt for several minutes. Bake a Moist Ham Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy. For more Coca-Cola recipes, click here! Relieve Jelly Fish Stings Coke can also be used to relieve the sting from Jelly Fish. All you have to do is pour the Coke over the sting. Clean Tile Grout Pour a can of Coca Cola on the tile. When wiped it up, the grout will be as white as can be! Have Greener Grass Spray Coca-Cola on your grass once a month for super green grass which remains greener than other lawns throughout the fall and winter months. Also, for green grass and no bugs, combine: 1 can of coke, 1 cup of ammonia and 1/4 cup of dish soap. Spray on grass once a month. Common Cold Remedy Take some fresh ginger and put it in a pot with a can of Coca Cola. Let it come to a boil and then cook on a low heat for a few minutes. Drink while warm. Get Rid of Bug and Road Film Got bug guts and road haze on you car windshield? Take a can of warm Coca Cola, shake and spray onto the windshield. Wipe it off and rinse clean as could be! Leedogg Posts: 59 Joined: 2003/10/18	2004/10/16, 04:52 AM Anybody watch that show "Mythbusters"? They did a whole segment on coke. The steak myth is false, the steak is still there even after a week. It does dissolve stuff (rust, etc..) because of all the carbonic and phosphoric acid contained within though, just not a steak. How bad is drinking pop anyway? I've cleaned up my diet quite a bit since I started working out about 4 weeks ago, but I am a coke addict (no pun intended). I usually only have a 12oz can/day. I know it's 140 empty calories and has 39g of sugar but even so I'm still under my recommended caloric intake for the day. I'd switch to diet but I hate that horrible aftertaste. yuk

If nothing else, one thing I've learned form this thread is that coke can be used to get your nuts off rusted bolts.
