flexable women......everymans dream lol j/k i'm around cheerleaders o much you oughta see the stuff the girls have to do.................one stunt we call a scorpion........girl stands in a sunt( guy holding her up)she pulls her left leg up from behind her, and puts the tip of her toe against the back of her head, while keeping the right foot perfectly straight................now that flexability lol!

Yeah I can do it no problem.. but i better be able to.. i get stretched to the limit 2-3 times a week at kung fu !!

WOW that felt both good and bad. I managed to touch with my finger tips. I think that this exercise can help a lot. Thx for showing it to all of us!!!!!

i can touch the wall with my left arm but not my right . i have a 2 inch difference between the two arms lol. but one day i will succeed.(I hope lol)

Oh how I wish for a few inches LOL . My 2 inch difference is from a very rare bone disorder sad but true.It dont bother me to much but people always have some kind of comment to say when your 4'9'' tall lol.

KY, last I remember being able to do this I think I was 13 (I am 27 now). I probably don't stretch out like I should but it's merely because I am tired of stretching and stretching with no results. If I put my legs against the wall and tried to touch the wall, my hands MIGHT be able to reach my ankles but that's it.
I always have extreme tightness behind my knees and goes into my hams when I try this, so I don't bother... it's probably more reason why I should bother but I'm tired of trying.

Palms to the wall no probs, try this one, lie flat on the ground in the supine position(faceup), move one leg up as far as you can without assistance, making sure to keep the other leg firmly on the ground, and both legs obviously straight, 90 degrees is said to be average beyond that excellent. I can only just get to 90 without assistance.

i can touch my palms to the wall till the sweat drips from my @@@@ nevermind also i can do the side splits
i have found that a nice warm up 50 to 100 jumping jax
does the trick and the stretching nice 15 to 25 sec counts doing stretches like legs straight touching does then after every count spread legs a lil more and star going to the left leg for a stretch then to middle then to the right then spread em some more when you are as far as u can get set back and continue to the right middle left for two rotations this will get them hamstrings loose like a amsterdamn prostitute.... we do this routine in my taekwondo class

In the first term i went to my school (5 years ago), when i was 11 they made me do this flexability test to apparently see what sports i'd be good at and i maged to get my wrist well past the "wall" (they had a thing set up for this to measure the distance), but now i can only just get my first to the wall, also it's my calfs that stop me going any farther. Although i was quite alot more fit then and did quite alot of stetching (tae kwon do, skating, soccer). Trying to get fit again :dumbbell: Btw i'm 17 now...

Now that i've tried it again after taking my shoes off and doing some stretches like people sugested i can put my palm on the wall but my calfs still hurt doing it...

I got my palms touching no problem without warmup... lol

screw yoga... lol if u wanna get flexable craw thru sum roff addicts all day long.... u'll soon get flexable :big_smile:

I, too, got my palms to touch here at work without a warmup, some strain, but not much, I don't know how I get past the belly, but I do, lol! I may be chubby but I am flexible! :)

Full palms to the wall. I went around the office and got quite a range of results. Very funny! I'm surprised at how many people can not fully reach. Do most of you incorporate stretching into your workout routines?

I dont usually stretch much... maybe a lil rubish 1-2 minute thing here and there if im really cold but im usually still warmed up.. i go in gym straight after work usuaully... i move my body around alot at work so yeah...

I know this is an old post, but I decided to try this and realized my hamstrings are in knots!!! I couldn't come close to reaching my ankles. A good stretching routine would be cool if someone had one. Oh well, I'll keep trying...man this hurts! :cool:

Well I tried it and was only able to put my fingers to the wall not my whole palm, and man was there a burning sensation on my hammy. So when u get this flexibility program together send me a copy to babygirlblu002@yahoo.com. I would really like to try placing my whole palm on the wall, maybe if I stretch a little more probably within the next week or so I may be able to place my whole palm on the wall. I'll holler and let u know. Until then.
