Hi,i am 5'6 and weigh about 200 pounds:( i have been trying to loose weight but i just cant seem to make any changes. I love school but i hate the people, when they see me they think eww look at the fat girl what a loser. So i am trying to loose a lot of weight and get healthy before school starts on August 10th. Please i need your help!!!

Well, first of all you need to lower your calorie intake... 3500 calories= 1 lb of weight... so dependign on how much you eat... you should cut that down. MAybe even try to eat healthier food- ex. Cucumbers instead of Chips Also, you should walk,run,swim, or do any cardio that you can do

oops sorry im not done.. also you WONT lose all the weight at once so dont get discouraged... the 1st 10 lbs of weight are the absolute easiest to lose because most of it is water weight. The rest are tougher... you should set on a track to lost 2-3 lbs per week because that's typically healthy.. not 8 or 10... chances are you WONT lose all your weight before august 10th but hey.. better now then never!

i really just have a small pudge but it really bothers me!! how do i loose it? i am on a water only diet and i'm not sure what else to do im not doing athletics in school either so i will get 30 minutes after school in the wieght room and track,what should i focus on to loose my pudge?(im 14, 5'7,if it helps im 143lbs.)

Water only diet? What are you eating? you are young and still growing...a well balanced healthy diet with with a more active lifestyle is what you need...give us an example of a typical day and we will try to help

Be very careful when losing weight to quickly. You run the risk of raising blood pressure, which greatly effect the kidneys. As the previous posts mentioned. Just do cardio and watch your caloric intake. Google search to find what a good healthy range is for a teenager. A few nice tips i found to raising th emetabolism (which burns calories) is drink a cup of water before a meal. Eat yogurt 3 times a week which in itself boosts metablism up to 20%. Get alot of sleep. Also taking vitamins won't hurt since your growing.

OMG bandgirl get off the water diet, it's just gonna comeback with every drink you take. Better safe then sorry. Because that can kill.

Water, while being an essential nutrient, is not the only nutrient the body needs to survive and be healthy....if you were to fast/starve yourself the first thing your body will do is store any calorie you put into it the first chance it gets...therefore any weight you may have thought you lost you would quickly gain back and then some...Have patience a little hard work and it will come off.

whats up woth the QUICK weight loss???

It took a LONG time to put it on, therefore will take TIME to get it off!!!!!! Cut back on the calories, do more cardio, build more muscle with weights.... :dumbbell:

its simple math really, Burn more calories than you take in and your body will lose weight. Just make sure you eat proper nutrition to sustain good health. Take vitamins, excersise and stop lookin gfor a quick fix.. IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get moving and stop stuffing the face with junk food!

hey i'm about 5'6 or 5'7 and i weigh probable 165-170 and i'm 14. my mom and i came up with the idea that i could change over christmas break. (2 weeks time) i want to loose about 2 paint sizes. FAST. can someone tell me a healthy safe way to do this?

christian..I would suggest working out every night(sit ups, push ups etc.)And watch what u eat...that is what i am doing and it is working Great...But be careful if u try to loose weight to fast you could end up getting very ill like i did...and it is not fun..So good Luck!

2 weeks is too little time to lose 2 pant sizes...Christmas break usually unfortunately is the worst time to try and diet. Slow and steady progress with determation, and dedication is what you need. Do not get discouraged and take a look around the site to find lots of helpful, friendly advice.

No white flour, no white sugar and no complex carbs after 4pm. Cardio before breakfast and drink 64+oz of water a day. 5 small meals every three hours.

Heyy.. i'm 14 5'4 i weigh 128 pounds.. i'm not fat but i just want to loose a little weight...and i tried running and for a while it was working but now its snowing and i don't want to go outside i don't play winter sports and i don't know what a good diet for loosing weight is at my age i need a few exercise ideas and a few things i could eat that would help me.... :(

I'm 15 and I weigh 120 lbs and I'm 5'1. I would really like to get down to 100lbs. which I know sounds unreasonable but I remember when I used to look like that and I looked awesome. I would like to lose weight quickly but not in an unhealthy way. I would also like to lose weight w/out giving up my favorite foods because I'm a major sweettooth!

I am 35 and have lots of weight to lose. I would like any ideas on the best way to do that. I just started going to the gym today but am confused on the exercises I need to do first and how much. I can only do it in the afternoons do to my schedule. Today I did cardio and weights but in no certain order. I was mostly getting acquainted with the machines. Any advice would be appreciated. Help! I am 5'4", quit smoking one month ago and have gained 10 pounds (I now weigh 130). All in the hip/thigh/butt area. I know my metabolism has changed (being peri-menopausal doesn't help) and I need some lower body exercises. Due to back problems I cannot do crunches, pushups or run. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone! I'm new to FT... my fitness plan doesn't actually start til the 27th... but I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. I' 22, 235 lbs, and I want to weigh 120 by June of this year? Is that a resonable goal? Any tips? Any help would be great! Thanks!

i am no pro on weight loss, but i would say that losing 135 lbs in 3-4 mnths is definately not healthy for you.

Hi i'm 19 and I'm in the military I am trying to drop down to about 200 lbs I am curtenly at 240 I'm 6'2" and have 24% body fat which i need to drop to 21% with in the next 2 months, what can you recommend?

im going to basic training on May 26, 2005. I have to make what is called APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) to graduate. Now i weigh bout 194 lbs and am 5'7 1/2. I know if i lose at least 45 pounds ill survive. Any one got any big time arobic excersises that would help me by then?

Dont think its too safe to lose that much weight that quick... Only advice i have for you is do a search on HIIT that has been the quickest way to lose weight for me... it really kicks your butt but worth it.

Hi bratz, My outlook on your promlem is typical.
I think you can inheritgenes putting you overweight.
As you loose weight theres no doubt your breasts will become smaller,but it sounds like your goal is focused totally on your bust! I think thatupper body could tone you up in that area but not rel for sure maybe you should go to the pros!!!:big_smile:

ok. i'm 19. work a full-time job. 7a-4p. very soon I start school 6p-10p. I'm 5'5''. I haven't checked my weight in such a long time. so lets say 200lbs. Really don't have a goal but I would like to loose what I can. I'm mainly chubby in the belly. I don't really snack on junk food either. I hardly eat, mainly just one meal a day. If I'm lucky two. I feel like I don't have the time to excersise either. Any ideas, pointers, suggestions on what I can do?:(
