Hi I'm 5'2 and weigh 150 pounds!!!! Last year I was 5'2 and only weighed 120 pounds. I loved the way I looked then except for that my chest have gone up a few cup sizes since then and thats what people say most of my weight is in them, but I don't agree. How do I get to about 135 without losing my chest too?!?

i was just wondering if bratz has checked in. It seems that we are in the same boat here and i was wondering if there has been anything that helped her with this. See i want to keep my assets and not lose them but i have learned that the first thing to go is the chest area for a woman. Any ideas on how to stop this?
============ Quoting from bratz54: Hi I am new here, I am 24 and i weight 368 lbs. I been bog all my life. I graduated highschool in 2000 weighing 299. To cut down on your portions, just eat about half of what you were given when you go out, and only eat one serving size of the foods at home.
Make sure you get enough protein in your diet. That will keep you fuller longer. Also, up your fruits and veggies. In an entire 2 lb bag of carrots there are only about 350 calories. Just because something is organic does NOT mean it's healthy. Organic peanut butter, for example, has almost exactly the same nutrition content as regular peanut butter does. The only difference is the oil used is organic. |

Hi, I'm 5'7 and am 175 pounds and am 15, although I used to weigh almost 220 and appreciate the weight I lost I still want to loose another 15-20 pounds without having to feel so hungry all the time or exercise excessivley. I swim competitiley and exercise 1-3 hrs a day 4-6 days a week. I don't eat anymore if not less then most of my friends, but struggle to loose weight. Does anybody have sugesstions for me to help loose this extra weight with in the next 3 weeeks.

babydoll it can take up to 18 months for your body to stabilize and recover from pregnancy and childbirth, give it time and eat a clean diet. Enjoy being a new mom :) find ways to be active with your baby, take the stroller out and power walk, do walking lunges, do squats holding the baby..you need to fit in exercise when you can.
There is a complete, no equipment necessary workout here - if you go to the top of your screen and click on 'exercise program' and answer the questions it asks you, it will generate a plan for you to follow. All the nutrition info you need is in the nutrition forum...do some reading and then ask concise, specific questions when you can't find an answer for something. -------------- Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they\'re yours. GREAT diets to choose for immediate results that are SUPER healthy are: The Fat Flush program which will allow you to lose up to 14 pounds in two weeks, and you will feel great! I stayed on it for 7 days and lost 6 pounds, and they never came back. I started out at 135 pounds, and I am at 115 now, just by sticking with the simple rules in the book! You can buy a used copy on Amazon, or at your local book store. I brought it to work and everyone is reading it, and 3 people have lost over 20 pounds. It's a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off!

Hi! I am looking for some advice. I had a very unhealthy view of myself a few years ago, and believed that if I missed the gym once I was going to gain ten lbs. I went for 3 hours every day and I didnt do it right-it took a big toll on both my body and my mind.. I had a lot of self image to fix before I could start up again. I am happy and ready to begin a SMART and HEALTHY routine. Im a teacher and spend most of my day in my classroom, not moving much but up and down rows of students. I want to tone up and loose about 10 lbs,a healthy goal. Can someone give me adivce on about how much weight I should be lifting and the most effective cardio? I work another night job and some days I am very short on time. If I only have an hour a day, what do you recommend?

hi my name is Billie. I am 23 years old. I was active in junior high. I was on the track/basketball team. I have truly let myself go and losing weight scares me. I know that sounds rediculis, but it`s true. I weigh 250 pounds and i`m 5foot 3inches. My fitness level sucks. I give out of breath to easily and I also smoke ciggs. I know smoking is extremly bad trust me I do. I just can`t kick the habbit just yet and I have tried. Well if there is anyone out there who can take out a few minutes of their time to help me set up a diet and exercise program, and or some type of advice to help me loose some type of weight, please post your comment and please include my name so I will know the message is for me.

Embabze, eat 6 small meals a day make healthy choices lots of fruit, veggies, and lean protein...more fruit and veggies...and do cardio,CARDIO, CARDIO, AND CARDIO. Turn on some music blast it loud (not to loud to disturb your parents) and jump and dance around your room, go for a walk with your dog or offer to walk a neighbors dog...movement any kind will help. The more you move the more you'll want to move...make it fun. DON'T SKIP MEALS THAT DOES NOT HELP it actually slows everything down. you can do it don't worry about doing specific exercises...walking and dancing will help the areas you say are a problem for you. Good luck.

So, When I cut calories what should I calculate? Do I cut them from my BMR or do I include my activity then subtract the calories? Im a little confused. My body needs almost 1500 calories a day to avoid starvation mode. Adding my activity brings it to 2800 calories a day. Dp I subtract from 2800 or 1500?

Hey honey. Kids are evil. You want to set a realistic goal of about 20-30lb by august. Anymore would be a yoyo and you will gain it all back. But you will look great and in the meantime build muscle. Consistancy is key. Changing small terrible life style habits are what you want to do first: first Keep a food journal with your food, water intake, time, calories, protien, and sodium. If you drink soda...cut back or QUIT. you should drink at least half of your weight in oz of water. YOU WILL PEE a lot at first. If you dont drink enough water...your body retains it. Google BMR calculater and figure out how many calories you need to live off a day. Exercise, eat to live.....do not live to eat. Fuel your body. Eat breakfast and do not eat 2 hours before bed. If you are hungry eat fruit or a glass a milk. This is a lot but small steps....set small goals and achieve them. You can do it. I am a personal trainer and all of my clients are seeing results. The ones that are seeing the best results are the ones who are keeping track of their food. Have a fabulous day Nicole nicole |

Hey all! I am a 20yr old male who loves home cooking and it has gotten me in severe trouble. All through high school i was never taken seriously and voted most likely to get kicked off survivor because i ate too much. My goal is to drop from the 320lb boy i am now and get to about a healthy 195 for my height. I want to join the army but right now i am not gonna cut it. Any motivation and kind words would help a lot.

Hey Steve,
I did not join the Army, I went the Air Force route, but I was pushing the 300 mark when I joined back in 2002. Joining the military changed my life for the better. I was 24, way overweight, and had minimal self discipline. I had talked about joining the military for years, but I went from 190lbs to 290lbs over the 6 years between highschool and the day I decided to join the Air Force. You have a lot of options when it comes to weight loss before you join the military, and your situation if you really plan to join asap gives you opportunities that others don?t have. Obviously, you should do the healthy, 2-3lbs a week diet with exercise, but I went the go-fast route. I went on a crash diet, normally what is not recommended by fitness trainers because they normally fail and are not as healthy. In your case, if you really are losing weight to join the military a quick "loose 10lbs a week? might work for you. Before anyone bites my head off, here is why I say the "crash" diet might work: Once you are in you will hit boot camp. I lost about 60lbs in 2-3 months to join the Air Force, and in boot camp I lost another 30 taking me down to 200lbs even. The boot camp weight loss did not stick, but the 60lbs that I lost in about 2-3 months did. The reason is that I was able to maintain the loss is because (I bet you are in a similar boat) I did minimal to no workouts prior to the military. Once in, the mandatory PT and realization of how my weight really affected my health set in. Those are some significant lifestyle changes that 99% of the population that is trying to lose weight doesn?t get. Fact is, if you are losing weight to get into the military; just get to the weight you need to be at. The military life style SHOULD help you keep it. In addition, if you have an appreciation for good food, the chow halls will be the death of your sophisticated palette. -------------- Sean "TBAR" Johnson -USAF- |

Hi Katie .. Im Susan im 21 and i weigh 205lb. I have always had the same problem i tend to loose around 30lb and then pile it back on plus more. In Febuary 2009 i actualy weighed 254lb so i have managed to loose 49lb. What i have learnt through my experiences of dieting is do NOT starve yoursel and do NOT deprieve yourself. Make sure you cut your calories to a reasonable amount and eat the right type of food in proportion. I found that not depriving my self of things i like helps me along the way. Every other day i have a low calorie packet of crisps and a smal 80 calorie choclate bar. I also have one meal a week were i eat what i like (pizza, fish and chips). Exercise is also key get your self some cheap home equipment such as a stepper or gym ball. hi i am new to this site and i have a few questions. first off im 21 5' and 190. i have started diet plans many times in the past i do good for the first couple of weeks follow it to a T then after i lose that first 10lbs (which seriously doesn't help that much) i get back into my old habit bc it starts to make me feel like im back in high school. i just can't seem to get past that second week. i tried usuing a buddy that would diet with me but most of my friends give up after the first two days but none of my friends are as out of shape as i am. can anyone give me any advice how to stay in the exercise routine and enjoy doing it at the same time.
