Hi guys,
At the moment I'm in the middle of a fitness routine that is weight training on
Monday
Wednesday
Friday.
The weight session is for around 40 minutes. The following cardio sessions are 45 mins with a abs session at the end that lasts around 5 to 7 minutes
Cardio on Tuesday
Thursday
Saturday
My Question is this, On Mondays through Friday I'm also power walking 3 miles around our local lake just for the extra calorie burn, but I'm not sure if I'm better to do the 3 mile walk Directly after working out or wait a few hours THEN do the walk. I read somewhere that a session lasting longer then an hour wasn't good for you so I was concerned where to put the walk. Thanks in Advance.

I think seperating the two would be good, but if it fits your schedule better to do it after your weight training, bring your shaker and drink a protein shake while you power walk.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong here but :
If you want to build muscle, all that running might just be killing your calories needed to add the muscle, so I would do as Asimmer said and drink a protein shake / some sort-of caloric intake as you do your walk.

Thanks guys,
Not only do I appreciate the warm welcome from you all but I also appreciate your input. Porphyria, you are probable correct about losing the mass, However its not Mass I have a problem with right now it’s the spongy centre that’s creating the embarrassment LOL I only plan on doing the power walking for around three to four weeks total, just to give an extra boost the calories burned, once I level out again the power walk will be dropped and I will continue with the weight lifting & cardio routines.
Thanks again too all

Ah I understand then, yes thats what I am trying to do aswell.. however I'd like to be able to gain muscle and lose the fat on my abs, but I guess it looks like I have to choose one or the other :(
