In case anyone is interested, vitaminlife.com is having a sale on Barleans for about 25% cheaper than the Barleans site.

I like to be pointed to sites with good prices but the reason I initially posted was to point out a specific site that DID have a lower price than normal. I have no interest in any of the sites but just wanted to point out a bargain. I also don't have any problem with plugs for companies but NOT inaccurate ones.

No problem jay and apology isn't necessary. I think you missed my point though - I have no problem with someone plugging a company. Many of the folks on here are on a budget and posts that save them money (today) are posted for that reason and not to be hijacked. I did check your site and I'll return there but not for Barleans today. :)

Point taken Mike. and I totally agree with you. I would not want any of my threads to be hijacked either

I think the only people here able to give permission are the owners and NOT any of us moderators. Consider it hijacked until we find out further.

you are more than welcomed to use the site as it is intended, but please do not plug your company here.

Thanks for the tip Mike...I have always been a fan of Barleans, but unfortunately I rarely use flax oil ever anymore.

I am strictly a fish oil man these days.

It is odd though that all these companies, their home site is always higher than other places you can buy their products at.

The reason, Ron, is because the supplement companies don't really like selling to the public directly; they'd rather go through a distributor (it's easier for them). So, the companies will sell at their own set "retail" prices, thus allowing a distributor (or direct retailer) the opportunity to sell at a lesser price to the public as a result of volume discounts.

Thank you Michael....I knew there had to be a reason. For instance, when I first started using Beverly, I bought from their site. Amazing how much less I could get it for at other sites even after being given by the owners a 'platinum' discount.

bb1fit-would you mind sharing why you stopped taking flax?

i started last month putting 1 serving of flax meal in my pwo shake or in my cottage cheese...its really helped *regulate* me(blush) which has kinda been a problem for awhile...i also take 4 capsules of fish oil....from reading some of your posts i think i interpreted correctly that youve always leaned toward fish oil..but was just curious why you quit flax all together...

I took both for awhile Flax and Fish but after learning more form BB1 I had decided to stop wasting the calories on Flax and double the Fish Oil because the Fish Oil is HANDS DOWN superior over Flax although Flax Seeds can aid you in Fiber needs if you have the poop problem or just need to get fiber in but I get allot of fiber without it.

i will do a fiber search in fitbuddy and see what is the recommended amount of fiber needed daily....cause i kinda feel the same way...its kinda hefty in calories for a supplement :(
