I thought it would be very interesting to know how FT came into existence, and how the moderators came to be moderators (with Nina in France, you all just didn't happen on one another I presume) :)

When I first joined, FT had been around for roughly about 2 years. George and Adrian had been doing their own moderating in those times. Membership grew and a lot more people were posting on these boards.

We were then asked by George and Adrian to help moderate. The original moderators were Nina, Leslie (no longer active), Arnold and myself. Ron and Michael were added later on as the need further arose. Since I've joined, there are at least 3x the amount of people posting on the boards at any given point in time.

I have been a member since 6/01, and always enjoyed the questions and started answering many of them. Someone noted in a post one day that moderator help was needed, and I remember them saying the Michael and I would do well. It was very flattering, and the rest is history so to speak. As Robert states, there are a ton more folks on here than when I joined 2 1/2 yrs. ago.

It was a magical and mystical evening several years ago, when two men, known only as Adrian and George, decades ahead of their time, met in a monastary's library in London during the dark of night. They had an idea; an idea that would change the world forever!

As the work started slowly, these two revolutionaries called forth four individuals from the cannals of history, know to the world as Arnold, Philia2, and rpacheco. Each of them had a special gift, and, under the guidance of George and Adrian, would unite and use their abilties to help support this amazing concept. After the initial operation began, it exploded, Adrian and George lost one of the four, and they realized that it may be too much for only three special individuals. So, they went searching, and found two others, lurking and hunting in the iron jungles of the world. Known as bb1fit and rev8ball, they agreed to join George and Adrian's team to help promote such an incredible operation.

Now, these five help this idea that has revolutionized the fitness world reach and help as many people as possible, while the two fathers operate the much larger picture, and watch over the entire concept, looking on and participating with much satisfaction....

Ya know, after reading my post, I realized that the concept for Free Trainers was used as a basis for the movie League of Extraordinary Gentleman!!!!

George and Adrian, you may want to work on getting your royalties....

Rev, that description sounds more like the Xmen. All of you are using your own mutant powers to rid the FT world of fat.
