Hey there, I'm Gemma. I only joined the site today so any advice, excersize tips and support would be very welcome. I am a mother of a 15 month old baby girl and I have never really overcome my baby weight. Whilst I was pregnant I suffered from SPD, this affects your hips and pelvis area, basically making it all jelly. I was unable to walk or stand up for very long in the last trimestor and went up to 217lbs because of it and even now I have problems with my hips. I am now down to 184lbs but really would like to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 161lbs.
I looked and felt great at that weight and miss being able to go to town and buy something that fits and looks fantastic on. Unlike today when I tried some clothes on and had to try and calm myself down in the changing room, in front of my daughter because my body has just turned into this big fat mess and the clothes that would fit were a size UK 18. I used to be a UK 12 on bottom and a UK 10 on top, sometimes even an 8!!!! I have never felt so sick in my life. My backside looks like an 80 year old mans backside, my stomache literally looks like a tractor tyre with all the severe stretchmarks and my thighs should be hanging in the back of a butchers shop they are that big!!!
So I figured it was time to do something and stop saying I just don't have the time...I don't, as any full time mother with their own buisness will tell you, but still it is time to do something about it before it gets well out of control and I would like to have a full length mirror back in the house rather than outside the house because I hate looking at myself!!!

So here I am weighing in for the first time. My start weight is 184lbs on the 16/08/2012.

Gemma

Hello everyone,

  My name is Seff and I'm a 29 year old female. I am 5' 7 and used to be 155, although the doc says people my height should be 145 I'm built a bit bigger and 155 looks really really good on me. Now I'm sitting at 195 so I need to lose 40lbs. I have a gym membership but some days its hard to get motivated. I'm hoping seeing your stories and encouraging each other will get me going.
I was working out everyday for two months and lost 5lbs which is nothing so I don't think I'm doing the right exercise but this site really looks like it will help. So starting today I'm back on it with a schedule and good training advice. I will be checking in here everyother day starting today saying whether or not I did my scheduled workout. At the end of every two weeks I'll have a weight in. Lets  stay motivated everyone! we can do it!

Current weight 175ish, but haven't had an accurate reading in a little while.  Goal weight 190.  I'm 6'5" and definitely on the skinny side.  Hoping to shock my body into putting on some muscle.  I'll update with weights whenever I run into a scale.

Hey everyone! I'm Jessie. I've always been in good shape and thin... But the past year I tipped the scale at 181. I can't seem to get away from that for anything!!!!! It's so frustrating. I'm getting married in a month and have been doing Insanity with my sister. We got through the first month and recovery week, then through the first week of month two. After that, life got crazy and it's been 2 weeks since I did a consistent workout!!! :( My goal weight is 145. Any suggestions to boost myself out of this rut my body seems to be stuck in? We started up with month 2 again last night, and Shaun T's "Rockin' Body Workout" is on it's way, which I hear is a major fat burner, so we'll see...

Hi guys,

Currently weighing in today at 77.8 kgs. This is the lowest I have weighed in 9 years. It has taken a lot of hard work and determination. I still have 17.8kgs to go before I reach my goal weight at 60kgs. I think this group is an awesome idea! Being accountable for your weight can make the biggest difference. Hopefully, as the weeks go by my weigh in number will decrease!

Today is Sunday.
Weight = 93kgs
Height = 165cms
Age = 21
Female.

Let's see how i go.

Hey guys,

So this is week 2 of my diet plan and this is how it's gone
.

Today is Sunday.
Height = 165cms
Age = 21
Female.

Starting Weight = 93kgs/ 204.6 lbs

Todays Weight = 90.5 kgs/ 199.1 lbs

Total weightloss of = 2.5kgs/ 5.5 lbs

Weightloss to go = 35.5 kg/ 78.1 lbs

Goal weight = 55kgs/ 121 pounds

My high point for the week was finding an awesome bulk market that sells fresh veggies in bulk. So i've been able to keep at a $60 per week budget which is amazing.

My low point was my BF teasing me with pizza and chocolate. I didn't give in but it was annoying.

I'll keep posting my new weight each week so good luck everyone!.

I'm 17, currently in my last year of high school. I put on roughly 20lbs when I had to pretty much give up intense exercise due to a medical condition. It didn't help that I ate like crap and seem to have made a habit of it. 10 months pre-op now and I dont see any improvement. I find it hard to stick with stuff and its mainly my diet that needs working on rather than physical activity. I know what to do but struggle to implement it. My main fall backs are having a lot of junk food when I'm out and about - and this is when I'm not even hungry! I dont enjoy it, I just do it because its a habit. My goal is basically to get back up to the level of physical performance that I was at and improve on it. Recently, it's been hard to juggle training with school work and tutions. I can't restrict myself to calories because I find it a chore to have to write everything down and always be eyeballing portions/labels. As long as what goes in is healthy, its good enough. I am a fruit fanatic and eat quite healthily minus all the excess that I consume for some unknown reason. Currently, I have a cold due to dramatic weather changes and stress but I'm hoping to check in every Monday on here to keep myself accountable.

Height: 5'
Starting Weight: About 53kg, 116lbs, 8 stones 4lbs
Goal Weight: 43kg, 95lbs, 6 stone 11

The goal stats may seem small to some people, but I have been there - and given my small frame it's the weight that I am healthiest, fittest and strongest at. I could lift people who weighed more than me! Which is also something I need to be able to do again...

I am a 29 years old. I recently had my third child and need to lose the extra weight. I have been walking daily and will start a work out routine at home today. I have to start out slow since i had a c section, but i would like to lose 20lbs by december and a total of 50 lbs by summer. I am 5'10 with a starting weight of 200lbs as of today. I have a lot of pain issues, and i could use the help with motivation.

Hi, my name is Shanen and I am starting with a weight of 204 pounds. I have never truly until recently believed I was worth taking care of. Therefore I allowed myself to balloon to the size I am right now. I know how to lose weight as I have helped two friends drop over 100 pounds each. What I've been lacking is the motivation to stick with anything. I tend to just give up if I dont get immediate results (I know that's not realistic). I am going to give myself the benefit of doubt and lose the weight this time.

Hi,  I'm new to the group.  I'm a 48 year old Mom of 2 year old twin girls and you'd think that running after them all day would get me back into shape but I have about 30lbs to lose.  I think that I struggle most with finding time to work out and then actually working out when I do have time.  I don't have any excuses since we have a Bowflex, an exercise ball, resistance bands and a Wii with all the fitness programs + Jillian Michaels.  I tend to skip meals despite making all the meals for everyone else.   I'm very careful to make sure that the twins have healthy well balanced meals but completely overlook my own nutritional requirements.  I thought I'd join up to focus more on my exercise and nutritional needs.  My husband is very supportive but I think it would be a bad call to make him my go to person for accountability.

So, what I'm looking for is accountability to work out and eat properly as well as a set workout plan for each day so I don't have to think about it.

Tomorrow morning I will weigh myself, post it here and begin!

Thanks for the help,
Patricia

Good morning!  I did my first weigh in this morning...145lbs and 5'3"..yup...30lbs to go.  Today is a cardio day for me so I'm going to load up the twins in the stroller and go for a 30 minute 'fast' walk.  I ate breakfast this morning too (not the norm for me).  Thanks for being here!

Hi
I am 29 and I am 6'0 tall and 205 pounds.  I would to lose at least 20lbs.  I am a stay at home mom of two young girls.  I do not have any help with them so any activity I do I must be able to do while watching them.  During the summer I was doing pretty good I would take the girls and go for a walk/run at least 5 times a week but now that the weather is cold I am stuck inside and I struggle working out inside.

start

Start weight 250
goal weight 200

After years of working out sporadically, I feel its time to make exercising a routine. For the past few months i have been unhappy with my weight and physical appearance. I currently wear a size 44 waist in jeans, shopping for jeans are the absolute worse. Once i get a steady routine i hope to get my weight down to 200 and waist size to 36

Hello my name is Sam. I am 10 years old and i weigh 143 pounds. I am tired of getting teased at school and not being able to keep up with my friends. I have been trying to lose weight by changing my diet and eating healthier but I have gained weight doing this. So my Mom and I are going to try the workout programs here. The doctor thinks my goal should be to get to 100 pounds but I am setting my goal at 120 to start with. I can use all the help I can get. So if you have any advise or just encouragement PLEASE send it to me.
Thanks, Sam

Hello All! My name is Nancy. I am 38 years old and was diagnosed 2 years ago with type 2 diabetes. Since then I have dropped about 40 pounds but want to lose another 30-40. I am joining this group with my son, Sam. He has been trying very hard to lose weight and I thought that we could try this together. So if anyone has any advise or just encouragement for us please send it our way. I am currently 174 pounds (I can't believe I just posted my weight for all to see).
Thanks, Nancy

Hello people, my name is Ameelio. I just turned 24  and am 5'10 and now weigh 226 pounds. I don't even remember when I joined this website, it was some time last year. On NYE's of 2011 I decided that in 2012 I would try and be healthier. I started at 308 lbs, I managed to hit 220 pounds in decemeber '12, but I just got stuck at 220, and was at 220 till about the first week of January. And since then I just kinda gave up, and have gained like 6-7 pounds in like a week and a half. I don't know I guess I just gave up. Anyways today I woke up and decided as of tomorrow i'm gonna give it one more go. Ideally I'd like to hit 190, but if i get to 200 i would be happy. I don't even know why i'm posting it here, I feel like if i come back and read what I write every few days I wont give up that easily. It's frustrating to see your progress like halt for a few weeks. Anyways as of Jan 14th, 2013 I am at 226lbs. I will weigh in again on the 21st. Good luck to you all, may 2013 be a kick ass year for you all.

Right on dude, I don't know if this will help or not (if it does that would be awesome). For me personally the weightloss came by changing my diet and jogging and swimming like once a week. I used to love sugar, juice, pop, candy, and I loved fast food. Gotta cut all that out. If you get hungry just eat a lot of fruit or salad, Apples and bananas are the best, I personally feel that I get the most energy out of those two fruits. Also I am not a big fan of salad but I found a few yogurt based dressings that are not too bad in moderation. Also If you ever get cravings for pop or juice, drink skim/1% milk. Or G2(gatorade 2) G2 has 1/3 of the carbs/sugar of regular gatorade, well at least in canada. And just keep at it, Trust me when I say I know how hard it can be to lose weight, and the teasing sucks ass as well (been there). I hope some of this helps you. Keep your head up Sam, and don't give up. Best of luck to you :)

---Good luck Ameelio. Congratulations on the weight already lost. When you hit a plateau, don't give up... Keep at it! It will come off eventually :)
