Sam and I starterd exercising last Monday. We did a custom plan for Sam. He got frustrated doing a half hour at a time so we split it up and have him doing 3 times a day 5 minutes each. He still gets in the same amount of time just breaks it up for him. Plus we have found that he is not really able to do some of the exercises so we are doing some that his gym teacher showed us plus some that we found on this site. So far so good! I have been trying to do the whole exercise plan three times a week. And am finding tBhat I am more out of shape then I thought. LOL!! But I will keep trying.

Hi,
I am hoping to lose another stone. I started out at 12st 7lb (around xmas time), and currently weigh 11st 9lb.
I have been swimming 2 nights a week for about 4 weeks and have also started 2 nights a week at the gym to add to this.
I have recently only been losing around 1lb a week sometimes half an ounce, not sure if this is very low for the activity i do??

Laura :)

Hi there! Im 18 and plan on losing some weight before graduation, and i plan on continuing afterwards. My overall goal is about 20 lbs. Im weighing in at 160 right now. I used to play soccer and was pretty fit, but i lost that figure, I'd really like to work towards that body again.

Got on the scale this morning...207...not pretty, but changeable.  I am going to try and focus on me this week, portion sizes, getting activity in my schedule and staying positive.

Keep up the excercise.  With a good diet (healthy and what your body needs) and excercise that keeps your metabalism up for hours will help.  Just don't bite off too much change at once, usually let 2 or 3 changes the first time then 1 every two weeks after.  good luck

I'm so excited to start this journey and praying that it does not turn out like all of the other journeys I've begun. Which is why this accountability is necessary! Thanks for this site and communtiy. Also, I'm looking for someone to contact and stay accountable to.....anyone needing one! I'm pretty consistant but am definitely motivated easily by people. By the way....My starting weight is 190 and my goal is 150. I am 5'7.

Hello,

I am very excited.  It is not that I have hit some great plateau, it is that I made a decision. Well, that is major for me.  Anyway, looking forward to hitting my goals.  I hope you hit your goals also.  So, with that, I weight 181lbs.  My goal is to lose 2lbs per week until i reach 155lbs. Not only is losing a goal for me, I also want to tone, tone, tone tone.  Imagine cracking a walnut with a butt cheek LOL. Looking forward to future post.

I am still at 190 as of today....sometimes I get stuck at a size for a long time even though I've changed my eating and working out everyday.

DEAR GROUP MEMBER, GET INVOLVED BY POSTING YOUR WEIGHT - BE ACCOUNTABLE.

(Daily or weekly or as often as you wish to share your progress, get motivation & inspire others)
A daily, weekly or monthly weigh in is a good way to check your progress and stay on track.. or find out how to get back on track! Let's all stick together and help each other get to our final destination!

Here are a few basic rules to follow when posting please:

1. Join the group by posting a brief introduction about yourself, your goals, motivation and plan of attack! POST IT IN THIS THREAD

2. Participate as often as you wish, the more the better even if is to encourage and motivate others. Weigh in by posting your current weight along with your starting weight and goal weight.

3. The group will also have a general weigh-in EVERY MONDAY. You are not required to post on this day, but if you decide to weigh yourself once a week, this is the time to do it.

Everybody is welcome in this group - and you don't need to be trying to LOSE WEIGHT, you can also join if you are trying to GAIN WEIGHT.

Best of luck everyone and let's stay positive, helpful and successful!

Hi, I am a 47 year old female. I was in a horrible car crash in 1986. Before the car crash I was fit and a ski instructor and a golf pro. I am feeling stronger now, but I also stacked on the weight and have become a couch potatoe. My goal is to become more active and loose between 40-50 pounds! This is day 1 of working out, I have a habit of going At it too hard and then getting muscle spasms because of my crash and lack of exercise that I quit! So I am looking for a guidance and support as I start onthis new journey!

I get weighed rather often and over the winter I have seen my weight go up and my belly expand. I have starved myself before and lost 50 pounds in a period of 3 yrs. I have a lot of health issues and my weight now is 133. I am 5'1" and my belly looks like I am 8 months pregnant plus I have a C section belly to go along with it. This is the hardest spot for me to lose fat. My goal is to get down to 120 and be toned, not look sick, and have my stomach disappear. I am not a heavy eater, but do like my sweet tea, which I am tryi ng to trade for flavored water with 0 or few calories. I have a slow metabolism so I bought and took my first dose of green coffee exyract yesterday. I hope it works along with the exercise.

I am a 44 year old female. I am married and live in Michigan. I hibernate in the winter. I am originally from Tennessee and hope to move back there soon. The winters up here just kill me. I hate the weather here. I have had problems with my weight since I was 20 yt rs old. It seemed that once I gained weight I struggled to keep it off. Even though I lose weight, I cannot seem to lose my belly. I have never been or had a support group for weight loss and the goal of shedding this unwanted mass of fat off my stomach. If this will work for me, I'm all for it. I'm soon to be 45 yrs young and I want my body to toned and proportioned. I'm a petite woman. I'm small everywhere but there. I'm tired of being asked when is it due? I'm revved!

Hi everyone. I'm 190 (whomp whomp) but I'm only in my 20's. I was never an emotional eater but I think I just trained myself to be. I'm going through  a rough time right now (can't fund myself for med school) and I just want to do something to make me feel better and attractive.

Ok this is new to me. I normally keep to myself and not post anything. I am 41 and I weigh 182. My goal is to get down to 130-125. I am married and I don't want my wife to go someplace else. Which I know that she wont. We are both trying to lose weight. And I have all kinds of support here at home and at work. But sometimes some support from strangers can help also.

I am 36 (turning 37 next month), 5'1" and 179.8 pounds.  I just started day one of the beginning workout.  This is also my first day on this site.  I am trying to lose weight.  My goal is to get to about 125 pounds at least.  I have a long way to go.  I started the home workout (total body) and eventually would like to meet someone else who lives in the Orange Park area of Florida to go on walks with at the least.  Right now I'm out of shape and need to start slow.  I also struggle with RA (Arthritis) and type 1 diabetes.  I'd like to get in good shape so these things will be easier to manage as well.  Right now I'd be happy if I didn't look like the old fat version of a fertility goddess.  :)
I'm very bad about the food I eat too though.  I love Asian food (which is usually high in salt) and potatoes.  I'm cutting out red meat now (I eat chicken and fish still) but need to eat more veggies.  If anyone has any great recipes that fit in this category, hit me up!
Thanks!

---Someone said to use a tape measure.  Don't forget, muscle weighs more than fat so you may be replacing it with muscle weight.  Give it some more time.  Have you been to see a nutritionist?

Hi. I am very similar to you Rachy. I started out at 213 in may. I am currently at 192 and my goal weight is 154. This is what i weighed when i was last happy with myself. That was about 8 years ago. Since then i have got married and had two kids. The weight has been slowly creeping on. I have decided that it is now time to get myself back again.---

I am ex-military and I was even the physical training leader for my unit at every base I went to. After I left the military I went to culinary school in San Francisco. Classic French Cuisine generally equalls a whole lot of cream and butter. I put on quite a few pounds. I am 6ft tall but I weigh 180 and I would much prefer to be at the weight I left basic training at, 150 or under. Normally, I am pretty active but I was in an accident and recieved 3rd degree burns to 33% of my body. So, for the past two months there hasn't been a whole lot of exercise. Just walking and jogging when it's dark outside to avoid UV rays. But I'm ready to get back into it and reach my goals. I joined this site today for accountability, thank you!

Hello everyone, I am 47 years old. In the last year I have lost 43lbs and don't ever want to go back to where I was at 5'4" weighing 186lbs. I have a full time job and started back to school full time. I need some motivation because I have been stress eating and need to control that. So I decided to come to this website and you all to get motivated and get back to eating right and exercising regularly. I will be running my first 10K in Maui Sept, 21 2013 the doctor told me to slow it down a bit because I am over training. So I need to get into a new routine. I am really excited to be checking in and meeting new people. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you. I have joined different cites in the past and never stuck with them. This website looks like a winner. Like we all are!!
