We are still working on the mid season planting. I pulled up 600 stalks of corn by the roots yesterday. It was 103 degrees. I hurt. We're also adding a room onto our garage. Workouts postponed indefinitely...

Running on hold for now.  : [   I sprained my ankle last week, running of all things, and am taking it easy.  I figure I will start back up next week.  So no impact workouts for now.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with COPD. Look it up. It's a breathing problem. I wrote it up to 35 years in a cabinet shop whiffing sawdust and lacquer fumes. My lung capacity was 74%. I had never had a problem lifting but walking, running and cardiac work was difficult.  I lowered my weight on my lifts and stepped up my cardiac work. My lung capacity increased some every six months. The "C" in COPD is chronic. It means it wont get better.

For my Canadian and other international buddies, COPD is an automatic turn down on a health insurance application. We have coverage but it comes with a high deductible and as a result we pay $25,000 a year for health insurance.

I have been rigid long distance walker and swimmer for the last 2 and a half years. It's important to understand that the condition with which I was diagnosed can't get better. I took my annual lung capacity test today. You blow into a machine. My lung capacity measured at 97%. The pulmomologist told me that I was no longer in the range that can be considered as having COPD. He told me to toss my two a day inhaler. I plan on reapplying for health insurance with my current company as well as others. I'm at least $149 per month richer for eliminating the inhaler. We may be a great deal richer once the insurer receives the letter from my doctor acknowledging a mistaken diagnosis.

Never quit.

Just like the healthy daily routine food to eat.

Legs and assisted pull ups.

Roza1996 - If you haven't already, do research on clean eating.  Eating healthy will not cause you to starve.  You just need to get rid of the processed foods and manage your portion controls.  Don't try to do it all at once or you will end up getting frustrated and quitting.  The best thing to do is to educate yourself and set small goals.  Try starting by giving up chips for baby carrots or exchange your whole milk for low to no fat milk.    Set one goal at a time give yourself a week or two and when you meet one goal stick with it and set another goal, remember to always be honest with yourself about what you are doing.  Before you know it, you will find yourself eating better and enjoying it without starving.  Doing this along with daily exercise will give you the results you want.  =)

after a few months off to do my bit in a house renovation and the building of a girl cave, I am at it again.

2 days ago ---full body workout using new machine and dumbbells.

Yesterday-- treadmill 45 minutes

It's a girl cave because my wife won the coin toss.

New two station machine. Good for geezers so they don't drop stuff on their toes.

Dumbbells for accessory muscle

Treadmill to promoate self loathing

TV to watch Glee and other very loud music shows so I don't have to listen to myself pant.
