My hobby would have to be the sport of boxing. I love every aspect of it. I collect alot of boxing memorabilia and have a huge amount of some good stuff but it got quite costly now that I have bills to pay. But recently I made my body my hobby. Costs nothing and the payoff is great :)<--Kind of dorky

Well if we're including sports I also play basketball and golf alot. I think a fullcourt game of basketball is 10 time more effective than running on a treadmill for an hour..

I'm one of those diehard Depeche Mode fans :)
I spend huge amounts on DM CD's, DVD's and travelling abroad to see their gigs. I go to the venue 12 hours before the show starts and usually get backstage one way or another after the show. :D And if this isn't dorky enough for you, I also collect tin boxes, the more antique and communist they look, the better lol -------------- ...snow can wait, I forgot my mittens... |

I run with one type of sneaker on one foot and one type on the other foot. They don't look very different, but hopefully, I am going fast enough that nobody notices! LOL I also have to put my weights on in the same order (left to right) and direction (#s out) every time I am in the gym.

Assuming you were speaking about the sneaker issue, when I was in training, the prankster boys were continuously taking one each of my running shoes...deciding that I would not let them get me down, I just started running with what I had and I continue it now because it reminds me to never give up. (That, and it is actually comfortable with the type of stride I take) LOL

no charlie mine is better.......i'm a a BIG BIG Godzilla fan.........I have every single movie( all 27 I think)soem are actually orginals and in japanese lol.I have lots of posters, I have many many godzilla comics, even the ones from the 70s( the very 1st one I might add) All though I didn't like the tristar "version" of godzilla much I own that movie too, as well as every cartoon episode that cam out after the movie on tape........unfortunally to say there is one Godzilla movie I don't have that is out of print, to buy it on amazon would cost me 90 bucks for a vhs lol I have godzilla action figures you name it. I am also a 2nd a Gamera fan( the flying turtle knock off of godzilla).
I am curently awaiting a few more movies to be released in the US that are in japan. I check amazon.com weekly for new godzilla and gamera stuff lol I also have a big comic book collection form the early 90s and some x men trading cards from 92.........most aren't worth much, but to me they are -------------- ---andrew.......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! Here we go:
I've built somewhere around 100 computers from parts ordered (some upon requests from friends that wanted me to build one for cheaper) I've played computer games since 7th grade (Counter-Strike, Now Star Wars Galaxies, Warcraft etc etc etc...mostly counter strike) I draw. Every tattoo i have on my body i drew. Die hard Lilo and Stitch fan. I have collected shitloads of stitch memorabilia and still ahve a long way to go (plus i can do his voice perfectly) I am a photographer. I will use human models, only if they ask me to... otherwise i photograph nature and other things, i try to capture feelings (like how when its too hot under the covers but too cold outside, so you just put one leg out......or a lazy sunday etc) I read either realistic literature, or near-realistic literature (i'm a die-hard chuck palahniuk fan) Lastly I'm a huge pool and poker fanatic. I study people and their tells...etc etc etc. but thats the extent of my dumb ish.... |

Okay charlie. You can get into this to csferrie since you're itching-Kirk,Picard, or Janeway? Which one would you rather have as a commander if you are facing down the Romulans in the neutral zone?

Janeway would spend the hour whining about the situation. Picard would spend the hour reasoning through the situation. Kirk would kick their ass in the first 10 minutes and spend the rest of the time getting laid by some exotic green chick at the far corner of the universe.

bada bing, the man knows his space heros.
Star Trek seems to be a central theme among the fitness folk. Isn't it amazing the things that Gene Roddenberry imagined 40 years ago that have come to be?? Tractor beams are used to manipulate specimens on microscope slides. Communicaters actually ride around in our pockets. Antimatter exists and we can produce it. Computers......actually do what these guys imagined and then some. -------------- Its like herding cats. Charlie | |

Charlie,
You can't beat a good harp. (Stars Fell on Alabama, for instance.) That ROCKS! Cabinet making is the second coolest hobby. I just don't have as much time for woodworking as I'd like. I pulled for the Panthers in the Super Bowl, but I'm a die hard Vikings fan. Since Joe Kapp and Gene Washington. ============ Quoting from charlie826: Ok prepare to laugh at the geezer.
