I have noticed lately that for about the first 15 to 20 min of my work out I yawn like crazy even my eyes will water. This may sound dum but any one else ever encounter this, any suggestions to what may cause this. It has only been about the last two weeks I have noticed this.

Do you workout in the morning? I do and I usually yawn for the same time as you. I know that yawning is linked to your body not having enough oxygen in it an yawning is a way to get it.

My work outs vary from morning to evening depending on what shift I am working. So that is true that yawning is your bodys way of taking in more oxygen, I thought that was a line of bunk.

Yawning when starting to exercise is actually very common. It's just your body asking for more oxygen so don't worry lol no probs with that!

yeh, i find that i also yawn when training, especially when just doing weights. I just assume that I'm not taking in enough oxygen to the brain, so my yawning is making up for it.

I have found that doing about 5-10 minutes of tai-chi, then another 5-10 of cardio before I workout has really helped my breathing when it comes to lifting. I tried doing my leg workout without tai-chi the other day, and I found that I had a lot of problems breathing.

What could be wrong when I would feel some tightness or pain in the inner side of my right knee? Sometimes it disappears after resting from leg day. But there are times I would feel the same just standing.

You may have over done it a little. Rest your leg until the pain is gone from your knee. Start again stretch before and after start light and increase the weight gradually if you feel pain go back to the last weight you had no pain work there for a while and try increasing a nother time. Give that a try

Thanks! But I do my legs once a week. I forgot to mention that sometimes I would feel the stiffness in my right knee during a flat bench or incline bench barbell presses. Does bench presses affect the knees?

I'm reaching a bit, but maybe it's ITBS. ITBS is common in runners and some weight bearing exercises, mostly squats and lunges can irritate it. Here is a link to some info on it: http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/0168.htm
