To build strong arms you must train other areas of your body. With a strog bcak some strong arms. I would suggest following the 12 week mass program here at ft, and maybe look at some supplements. To keep trim you must remember cardio and balance it with how many calories you are taking in. Since youw ant to gain mass you cant burn off more calories then you are taking in. The real PRO's here at fr will be able to help you more.
Good Luck
I am into my 4th week of the mass program and am seeing awesome results!

Yes, you should sign up for an ft mass program and choose to target arms.

As far as your abs, the first step is to modify your diet. Then, cardio at least 3x per week for 30-45 minutes should help you burn off calories. You can also sign up for the 12-week ab blast program.

Good luck!

I also have a question regarding the same topic. If I add about two hours per week of cardio to keep my stomach lean and cut during the 12 week mass building routine, is is going to get in the way of my gains?? Any suggestions??

How are you looking at breaking your cardio down? 1 hour on two separate days etc. If that's what you're going to do it shouldn't affect it. See what the others say.

I was thinking an hour each "rest" day that I would have during the week. Sunday is a total "rest" day so my cardio days would be Tues and Fri. I want to build mass, but I also want to keep a toned look. I just need to know an effective way to do that without having to take fat burning supplements with ephedra...etc.

I find situps work the hip flexors more than abs! Besides, they kill your back. Crunches are better and actually work the abs.

Sit-ups work if you be pay attention and pull from your abs, not your legs. This becomes easier as you get stronger.

None of your body's muscles are meant to work isolated, I prefer situps because they work your hips as well as deadlifts put alot more pressure on your back then situps do

you also burn more calories if you're using more then just one muscle group so it'll help you tone faster also

Are you saying that you prefer situps over deadlifts because deadlifts put too much pressure on your back?

I think he is thinking that sit ups work your hips. That would be stupid, because the hip is a joint, not a muscle. I'm also not sure when anyone started talking about deadlifting, or how or why anyone could possibly prefer anything to deadlifting.

Chances are though, he just typed deadlifts when he meant to type crunches. He must have deadlifts on the mind.

no I'm saying that if you're going to not do an excercise simply because it puts some pressure on your back look at how much pressure squats and deadlifts put on your back.

I just prefer situps to crunches because they work more then just your abs, you feel them in your legs to an extent also, especially if you do them on a decline with 10 or 25 lbs on your chest.
