Ive been working out for two weeks now, lost a few pounds, i weighed 135 when i started working out, im 26 and im 5'4. so i wasnt very over weight, i just need to increase my cardio and tone up.
i dont drink but a glass a wine here and there, i dont smoke or do any drugs, recreational or prescription. I eat very lean healthy meals, when i snack its like carrots, or ill drink a tall glass of water and have helping of light popcorn.
My problem is that since i started working out, even though my scale says i lost weight, everyday my face is getting bigger.
and im not the only one to notice. i look like i gained fifty pounds. my face is swollen in the cheeks, around my eyes, and around my mouth, if you look at pictures of me from two weeks ago, i actually look many many pounds lighter. Not to mention that im not feeling so good about myself, why is this happening.
im hoping if i continue to work out the swelling will go down. but ive never heard or read of this happening to someone.

Doesn't sound normal, maybe you should see you doctor.

Maybe too much sodium? I'm no doctor, but you might want to see one.

I agree with both of the responses. It could be sodium but I would consult a doctor for details.
