Could I theoretically lift weights and bulk up and still drink beer. Say I dont want to have a bodybuilder body, just want to be big. I dont drink alot maybe a case on the weekend. A body like Vin Diesel, the Father from American Chopper get the idea. I would be willing to be the test subject for this experiment.

You think that Vin Diesel looks anything at all like Paul Sr? Paul Sr has a big gut with big arms. You can definitely get like that, I don' even think you need to work out. Gain enough weight and your arms will grow on their own.
Dumb questions = dumb answers.

You want to look like Vin?
Work out and eat right.
You want to look like the father from american chopper? Work your upper body, never your legs, and eat lots of whoppers.

You can drink beer sometime, but a case a weekend is not good. You are going to get fat I promise.

Why would you want to undo on the weekend what you did good for your body all week?
To answer your question....You could lift weights till the cows come home, and drink beer (heineken I hope) you will get so bloaded you will be big. Enjoy a few Krispy Kremes with the beer also! Go lift and get drunk!

Okay, I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Since you're not interested in being a fitness competitor or a serious competative athlete, I say go ahead and enjoy your beer, but not an entire case in a weekend. That's way too much. Sorry. Look up caloric content of your favorite beer online. That'll give you an idea of just how many calories you're injesting. You can put on a ton of muscle lifting, but you'll never get any definition b/c of all the empty extra calories you're taking in.
Still, there are some frigging huge linebackers out there that carry guts, so I'm not going to cast aspersions on carrying a little extra weight. Cheers!
