I know some people bash fitness goals, however I saw an article in men's fitness a year or two ago that listed some fitness goals that the majority of people should strive for.
So how many of these can everyone do:
Bench Press 1.5xBody Weight
Run 1.5 Miles in <10 Minutes
Dunk a Basketball
Leg Press 2.25xBody Weight
Swim 700 Yards in <12 Minutes
Do 40 Pushups
Waist-Hip Ratio of less than 0.8
Run 300 Yards in <1 Minute
Sit-and-Reach 2 Inches past Toes (ouch!)
I can do 2...I guess I'm out of shape!! LOL

Hmm...I know I can do the swim and the run..no way for the rest of them....think I need to tone down the cardio and ramp up the strenth training!

I read on another post on this site that if you can do 100 reps with 30 lb dumbbells than you are in shape.
I dunno 'bout you but I thunk it was a gud way to test yor self.

I've done 4-5 of the above but not all in the same year. I believe in the "been there, done that, got the t-shirt"
However, I now can bench press 3x my 5y/o son's body weight now...may I get credit for that...PLEASE!

Oh...those are MEN's fitness goals. No wonder I can't do any of them. I could probably manage the run if I really put forth the effort.
