Well, maybe I don't deserve a medal, but I definately got what I deserve and that was an excellent workout! I finally got my glutes into the new gym and signed on! The personal trainer was fabulous and he worked me out good today! I was so thrilled! I told him all about the group here and how everyone was so great and the site was very professional and helpful to all! They have AWESOME machines for cardio, weights of all kinds, it was so nice! It has been so long since I've been in a gym!
I had to get up at 5:00 a.m. to get there before work, and wouldn't it figure I got a knocker out of a migraine with the flashing lights and the works, but I just said a prayer, "Lord, if this is your test of my determination, I'm still going!" and I went migraine and all! Even my husband, who has been on a spending spree, and I didn't dare spend another penny due to it, told me to go ahead and go - so I thought, "I'm worth it" and went! YEY!!! This is hopefully a new beginning to my life, I needed it, and I am so excited about belonging to a gym again, seeing others working out, being healthy, that is refreshing! I will be getting up every morning for two weeks at 5:00 a.m. while my son doesn't need a ride to school during his Christmas break, after those two weeks, I have to figure something out, but I figure by then I will be hooked and something will work! Just had to share! Hope you are all doing well! :) -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. Thank you all for your encouragement, this is just the finest bunch of people!!
Well, today I am on day four, I have gone and worked out every day for one hour and a half, of course you should probably consider the quick change routine into my office wardrobe another workout as I cut it extremely close getting to work trying to get as much of my workout time as I can! Now I know all about those machines, the Smith machine, etc., they are awesome and I have been taking advantage of them all! I am thrilled and if the migraine the other day and then today freezing rain on the roads so I had to drive 25-35 mph for 45 miles, didn't give me reason to not go, I can't imagine what will, lol! Thanks for your support!! -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. The Christmas break was actually the good part as he didn't need to ride with me so I got up early every day and went and worked out prior to work. Now that he is back in school this week, it is tougher, but I think I may of found a solution, I am paying for a membership for him and my youngest, so last night we all went! Well, except for my husband! Me and the boys were standing there at the gym all sweaty and feeling good and I laughed at us and said, "boy, we are all going to look all buff and tough and dad is going to be all drab and flab!" We got a kick out of that as my husband's belly keeps growing as does his rear but he most likely won't ever do anything about it, work for him is pushing the tv remote on! LOL!-------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. LOL! I know what you mean Veda! I tried to convince my husband to get a membership with me and his response was, I don't need it. Yeah he used to have a six pack, but now it's a two pack and soon to be a beer belly!-------------- ~Brandy~ brandyjames06@yahoo.com |

Well, I didn't get a gym membership, but I have gotten a great opportunity that I am going to jump on.
My husband now has to be at work by 6am, so that means he leaves the house at 5:30. We get up at 4, eat, get dressed, and as he leaves to go to work, I will be leaving to go to the gym to get my cardio in. I can then do weights in the evening, and be getting 5 days of cardio in which has never happened before. I am very excited for this, because I do much better working out in the morning than at night! |

Well, my hubs had to be at work at 5 this morning instead of 6, so I had time to get in 30 minutes on the eliptical trainer, take a shower, and then actually RELAX before I went to work. It was great. I really think I am going to like working out this early in the morning. It was still dark outside, no one else was in the gym, I cranked up the radio in there, and even sang along while I worked(looking around every once in a while to make sure no one was watching!) I am sooo excited for tomorrow!
