I don't think it matters... keeps the body guessing... I was always told to vary it up from time to time... if you have to change it everyday or a couple of times a week, I don't think it matters...

Tim, thatsnot right. GG, working out at different times of day can cause your heart to stop. It's also been proven to cause impotence.

What? Please, tell me your kidding. I've always thought w/o at diff. times is good mostly because you get too see other diff. people at the gym and sometimes you don't feel like wating for a machine so you avoid certain hours etc :surprised:

If your goal is to see different people in the gym, then, I think you may be training for the wrong reasons. Always keep in mind that working out is an extreme stress on your body, and, it would be best if you could keep a fairly consistent schedule.

An article from men's health:

WORKING OUT AT DIFFERENT TIMES CLINICALLY PROVEN TO CAUSE IMPOTENCE

Studies show that working out at different times may lead to impotence. Several doctors from the University of North Carolina have studied 3 different males, all aged 25. They had 2 of them work out everyday for a month, each day they were to work out at a different time. The third subject was directed to work out everyday at exactly 0600. That is 6:00am for you normal folks. During this month the objects were to refrain from sex and masturbation.

Once the long, grueling month was over, hookers were provided to each subject. The two who worked out at different times everyday were unable to perform. The one who worked out at 0600 (6:00am for you normal folks) was not only able to satisfy his animal instincts with his hooker, but he also took care of the other two since they were already paid for.

The two distraught, impotent patients were seen in the hallway weeping. The doctor's gave them both a free lifetime subscription for viagra.

Would it be classified as overly competitive if I refused to let a 4 year old beat me at chutes and ladders?

YOu are terrible! Hec - I hope your neck is feeling better, cause you just earned a lot of push ups!

GG - working out when you can fit it into your schedule is better for you than not working out. Keep it up! (I didn't mean that the way it will be interpreted)

So with eleven kids I should try and never work out at the same time.

that is not my goal, i just meant that I often see the same ppl at my gym and a little change never hurt anybody. I do have my goals set although they sometimes become foggy 2 me.
My work schedule is sometimes pretty random not considering my school schedule so I like to keep my w/o times options open. P.S. I knew he was joking. :(

I think that if the possibility exists to work out at the same time you should do so.

For a couple reasons, both with a consistency theme.. Your body likes a clock for eating and for sleeping, it has a cycle and would prefer that you follow it. Also, to make your workout become second nature to you and part of your lifestyle, you should give it it's rightful place and time in your schedule.

That being said, Amy is right.. if you have no regular schedule, then do it whenever and wherever you can (you'll still be able to do it whenever !)

Hec, I saw that study and it said that people who incorporate boxing in their training were most severely effected. Maybe we should kick in and get GG a hooker to see if he is ok.
