yeah, what the blunt title says. :laugh:

i'm usually a "Every-day pooper"..i eat really healthy, lots of fiber, etc.

I just started drinking a protein shake (5g/fiber)..i'm a very athletic teenage girl (15 yrs/5'4/115lbs), i've doing weights 2-3x/week, and cardio daily for a long time now. i dance 3 hours/week and walk to and form school.

I'm not constipated, but its like i poo less often. is it because i'm burning so much energy and absorbing a lot of protein, that my body doesn't have as much "wastes" seeing how I'm even more active along with the *new* protein shake?

or is it just my body adjusting to this protein shake...?

It's probably because you are not drinking enough with all the extra exercise you are doing.
Your body needs a lot more water to function well.

um.. i don't think that's the case. I drink a lot of water...about 2-3L throughout the day...

I think you are supposed to drink at least a gallon a day... which would be between four and five litres a day... I believe... someone correct if I'm wrong, but it would take way more than a gallon or two of water per day to do you much harm...

I drink normally 1.5-2 gals a day (depending on workout). I suggest if you are doing a good amount of cardio and weights as well as a good amount of protein to drink MIM a gallon if not more.

1 gallon = 3L more or less

But I'm NOT constipated or anything, i just feel that my "mass" of my "waste" has lowered. Could it be because i'm using more energy, alas, less is getting rid of?

Well, it is close to gallon. A gallon is actually 3.78 liters, so if you are only drinking 2 liters on some days your 1.78 liters short of a gallon. However, that being said, a little extra wouldn't hurt, especially with you taking in a solute like a protien shake. These can be water wasters at times. Feel free to drink more. As for the bowel movements, as long as you are not uncomfortable, they will find a regular schedule to follow your activities. Sometimes changes in environment, diet, or activity can change your schedule, but it will standardize for you in time. I hope that helps.

Well 1st off if your not uncomy like daniel aid then whatever, but if yoru concerened then go to a doctor and ask him or her, they be able to tell you better than we can. I knwo some of the cheerleaders( whop are alos active and older than you) who only poop like every other day or somthing...........
