What a great addition to FT. Eating disorders and fitness can unfortunately go hand in hand. I support this forum 100% but I have to add that we are all here for supporting those who need motivation NOT false information or medical advice for we are not doctors. So for those of you who want to help, please keep in mind that this is a very sensitive area for those struggling with this disorder and any false information can be harmful. Please be careful:)

Good post, I think a lot of people (god knows this includes me) get carried away and try to give our advice when we dont know enough to be helpful.

I appreciate you agreeing with me and I wasn't trying to be condescending to any FT members in any way(not to say you were implying that jsom85:)), so I hope nobody takes it that way.

I don't think jdelts specifically meant you Cristalbelle - (I believe he was just wanting people to know that the people here aren't doctors as this area can be a very sensitive) I bumped it because I agreed with it.
Your posts are always welcomed :)

IT WAS ME!!!! No, I am kidding. jdelts has a good point and everyone on this site should keep in mind that we are not doctors, psychiatrists or vetrinarians!
And just as paper never refused ink, the internet never refused postings (unless it is my computer and then it regularily refuses to do anything very useful , including post information)

Yep, so true. As in the bodybuilding world, one person will hear something, take it as conventional wisdom, and tell someone else. All of a sudden that is the way to do things!! Be careful especially with medical advice, your health is at stake here. If you are interested in a post someone made, ask them for some research on it before you just attempt it out of hand.

I don't think anyone expects to get expert advise on this message board. What people expect is support and encouragement.
