I agree. You might add a protein shake to the early evening snack. -------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health. formerfatguy.com Not sure of author |

Try increasing your meals to 6, eating every 3 hours. This should help keep your energy up. Eat at least 2000 calories, you still will probably need more for your physical activities. Instead of the english muffin, Substitute for a whole grain cereal such as oatmeal. The fiber will als o help maintain that full filling.
When making your protein shake, try mixing it with milk or yogurt and a high carb fruit, such as a banana. Add wheat germ germ or granola to increase the protein. -------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health. formerfatguy.com Not sure of author |

Yea fruits & veggies should be a part of your diet - go back & try some you didn't like before - alot people find that they really do like them when they are older.
I'm finding I really do like stuff just steam with different seasonings - something my mom never did -------------- Reddy All people smile in the same language |

At 218 you will definitely lose weight with this diet, as much muscle as fat, and slow your metabolism to a crawl, which in turn on the uptake of any calories will result in an immediate fat storage. You have a need for maintenance calories fairly close to the 3000 calorie range. I figure around 3200. You need protein at each meal, either fibrous or starchy carbs or both, and some healthy fats and a much better "quality" of food choices. Go to the specific diets forum, and look for a post entitled "grocery list for a bodybuilder". Copy this list and choose your foods from it. It is very tough to build muscle and lose fat after you pass your "newbie" stage. Pick which you want to do, then set your macros. If you decide to lose fat, you may want to opt for 50/30/20 or even a 60/20/20 p/c/f ratio. If trying to gain, then you will want to explore a 40/40/40, or even a 30/50/20 or so diet macros.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... |

loose weight and gain noticable mass/??...........thats really reallyhard to do man hate to tell u , one ur try inying to cut calories to loose body fat, while the other ur trying to pack on muscle.......really really hard man thats y body builder " bulk up " in off season, an din a month or so bfore a contest " cut up" cause u can't do both.........where are ur fruits and veggies man? u loose alotta micro nutrients from not eating those...........if ur dieating u need to up the protein or ur gonna looose that muscle that u worked so hard for, u need at least ur body weight in grams 200 lb = 200 grams protein.....might wanna up it a lil more to 1.25 grs/lb, but if all u want to do is loose weight go for it but i think u'll feel more liek shit if u loose that muscle and feel weak, but hay! at least u'll be thin! that all that matters huh?-------------- ---andrew.......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! wendiva - you cannot safely lose 55 lbs in a month. Give yourself some time and start a snesible eating and exercise program-------------- If you fall down seven times, get up eight. |
