Folks, I haven't done one of these in a long time, and thought this would be an appropriate one. What we undertake to do, whether just wanting to tone, get in shape, bodybuild, compete, whatever level, this is a lifestyle change. It is a complete change from the "norm" of Ho-Ho's and Twinkies and remote controls. It is very much a constant learning process to keep improving. You/we are never too young, too smart, too old, too experienced to learn more. I can site myself as an example. I was of the mind not to very long ago that cardio should be done on an empty stomach, etc. Well, through experience, research, and common sense I have since learned otherwise. In extreme cases such as contest training when time is of the essence, then you may have to do this to make it. But muscle sacrifice comes along with it. The point I am trying to make here is keep asking questions, keep digging, keep learning. We have research at the cellular level now, it is unprecedented. Knowlege is power, and you will and can shorten your goals to fitness, and along with that the sense of pride and self esteem, and better quality of life that follows. With the right knowlege, we can even outsmart the supplement companies at their own game. Keep asking those questions, keep expanding your knowlege base. And, we are all human, we all at some time fall off the wagon so to speak, but get right back up, dust yourself off, and keep plugging. Use it as a learning experience and a stepping stone to be even firmer toward your goals. Your body will respond. We have a great free resource here in FT. To all of you in good health....
