I usually lift in a high school weight room but at the moment our school is rennovating so our weight room got moved to the back of an old creamery for the time being. My question is that it is very cold in there because it is almost winter here and the building isn't heated. It is currently around 50 degrees most of the time. Is that too cold to lift in? My guess is that it is ok if i wear warm clothes and make sure to do a good warm up and stretch extra well. Am i right on that?

Yes my guess is also that you simply need to be a lot more strict with wearing warm clothes and warm up well. Also be careful in between the sets NOT to became cold.
Maybe you should work in circuit or supersets to keep you on going from exercise to exercise during the time where the other room is getting renovated.
Drink enough.

Yeah as long as you do not let the sweat cool or freez you are ok. I used to workout in a loft of my dads garage...no heat or insulation at all. I did fine, but then I am a cold weather person anyway.

Those who lift understand it. Those who do not, think we are crazy!

Sometimes I wear like 5 layers of clothing when I workout so I can get all sweaty and warm.

I used to belong to a gym where the original owners sold out, and a new guy bought it. Well, he didn't like the bills, I believe he was losing money, and in the winter if you went in on like a Sunday morning, he had the heat off all night. It was freezing in there! YOu had to wear a coat to work out! LOL..It was so cold your hand would almost stick to the bars! But we "pressed" on, literally. Dress warm and work out!
