I have 2 things I would like advice on. I've been doing moderate cardio first thing in the morning for fat loss 5 days a week and have lost about 20 lbs the first 2 months. It's been 2 weeks now, and my weight have stayed the same. I'm not sure if I have hit my plateau, so I decided to switch to HITT. Is doing HITT first thing in the morning for 5 days a week recommended?. I know you measure progress based on measurements and not your weight, but should I be expecting to lose more weight, or will I hit some point where my weight will stay constant. I'm currently 5'8" 150 lbs. I was around 170 lbs a little over 2 months ago. Thanks

You probably just hit your plateau, so a change up in your exercise and diet regimen is in order.
As old age sets in, I may not recall my HIIT protocol correctly, but I beleive it's not necessary to do it 5 times a week, like normal low intensity/endurance aerobics. If you're doing it right, 3 times a week should be sufficient. Ron or Nina - your input?

Exactly right Michael...doing HIIT 5 times per week would be way overdoing it and most likely lead to overtraining and frequent colds, etc. Rather than add more exercise at this point, more probably a close look at your diet is in order.

Ok, how should I go about changing my diet. On an average day, my diet is real close to the 40-40-20 protein/carb/fat ratio. I'm also eating clean. Can you elaborate on what I need to change for my diet.

Adjusting calories by 250 per day usually works for me. If you're trying to cut, try this for a couple of weeks and see if that gets you moving again.
Also if you are new to working out, you could be gaining muscle. Losing weight isn't always the best benchmark. You answered your own question there. Pay more attention to the tape and how your cloths fit.
You'll get the best results by altering your hiit and regular cardio. Change is good. Keeps your body guessing.
